Clean modern lines combined with space saving simplicity, Linkworld's 617-C2628-P4 is the ideal cost-effective tower. Housing a 5.25" and 3.5" external drive bays, it saves space by leaving out redundant drive bays made obsolete by today's multipurpose optical drives. It also gives easy access to the ports for two of your USB 2.0 devices up front.

This case makes cooling a literal breeze. It has two 60mm fans located in the rear of the case for exhaust, and vents along the side. This causes a constant cooling cross breeze over all your sensitive equipment, protecting them from the ravages of heat. For all that you get, the price is hard to beat on this tiny juggernaut.

  • newegg MicroATX System with 3 Drive Bays Featuring one external 5.25" drive bays, and two 3.5" drive bays (one external and one internal), the Linkworld 617-C2628-P4 provides sufficient expandability as a MicroATX case.
  • newegg Effective Cooling The Linkworld 617-C2628-P4 features two 60mm rear fans and two fan mounts for extra PSU and HDD cooling to effectively control the system temperature.
  • newegg Built-in 300W PSU The Linkworld 617-C2628-P4 is equipped with a 300W power supply unit to handle power consumption for most MicroATX systems.
  • newegg Convenient Front I/O Panel The Linkworld 617-C2628-P4 features a convenient front I/O panel for easy access to two USB 2.0 ports and two audio ports.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It is small, light, looks decent. Great for the price. PSU works good for small projects.

Cons: Thin metal inside, which could be disastrous for careless installers. Fans in back are annoying, and yes loud. PSU fan is even more annoying. Don't stick this in your room!!! Oh and installation of HDD isn't fun.

Other Thoughts: I used this when I cut the junk out of an old HP for a development box. I unplugged one of the back fans, and cut the power to the fan in the PSU. Computer still works fine and does not over heat, draws air out of side of case so don't block that if you cut the fans. A cd drive does get in the way, try not to use it.

I gave it a 4 because of the price and the size, if you plan on doing numerous changes, get a bigger case. I had to take an egg for the way you have to install hdd/rom.

4 out of 5 eggsWhat did you expect?

Pros: Its a thirty dollar case, if you use it for a simple build it will be just fine. I'm not gonna dock eggs because it didn't fulfill my every need.

Cons: Little things...
-Mine came with a 250 Watt psu even though it claims 300.
-Cd tray can block certain graphics cards (I have an old radeon 9600 in mine and had to cut a small piece out of the tray... also make sure to buy a short cd drive if you plan on putting a graphics card in)
-Cd tray can also block larger CPU fans and HS.
-PSU fan is a little loud.

Other Thoughts: -Psu seems sketch.
-The screen on the side makes for a loud case.

4 out of 5 eggsPS Is NOT Standard Size

Pros: Case is solid, made of failrly good metal. It's thinner than a regular mini-ATX case, which makes it a great size for a HTPC or another application where space is an issue.

Cons: Contrary to another reviewer's opinion, the included PS/PS bay is NOT standard size. It is HP/Compaq-sized - i.e. you need a nonstandard power supply if you want to replace the included one.

Also note that while the Newegg specifications show a 300w power supply as the included one, the actual product is clearly marked as a 250w. If you think 300w is just enough juice for the system you're building, don't rely on this product for more than 250w.

Other Thoughts: It's an okay case for the cost. I would have happily used it if the power supply bay was standard-sized by just swapping out the included unit with a new PS.

Newegg shipped this and the rest of my order fast as always, and they quickly filled my RMA request through the online chat.

1 out of 5 eggsDo not waste money

Pros: 1. One of the few, low-priced mini tower micro-atx casing available in newegg.
2. Low-profile features, and convenient size.

Cons: 1. Very poor engineering inside.
2. Lots of screws and plates holding this and that, i.e. one holding the other, makes the internal assembly difficult and weak.
3. It was very difficult to put the dvd burner drive because it was hitting the cpu-fan.
4. My one came DOA and I realised when I put all these together. At first I thought it was a dead PSU, but actually the wiring was totally messed-up which didn't power-up my motherboard.
5. I had to RMA it for refund. Refunding cases is a great loss because you lost a considerable amount of money in shipping both-ways.

Other Thoughts: 1.Had the inside designing and quality been better this case would be a good choice.
2. I would recommend people not to buy this and spend a little more and get a good casing.

4 out of 5 eggsSmall but does the job

Pros: 4 expansion slots, full size cards, 4 fan bays (60 mm) allowing for ample cooling power. Grille on case door. Spiffy design.

Cons: Power Supply sounded like a hairdryer! Ordered it for the 300w but the one that came with it was 250w! Really tight fit for all my equipment, but I planned ahead and it was great.
Some of the screw holes were drilled weird and the screws wouldn't tighten all the way or wouldn't come out at all.

Other Thoughts: Use SATA in this case or your airflow will be horrible. Get a short CD drive too, or don't use one if you can. Power supply is standard size, and easy to find a replacement that fits.

4 out of 5 eggsSmall and Nice!

Pros: see other thoughts

Cons: see other thoughts

Other Thoughts: I use this case for my customers when building them computers. They love how small it is and how easy it fits anywhere. Only complait I get is the PSU Fan is LOUD. New fan may need to be added for some people.

4 out of 5 eggsSmall and Loud

Pros: Great price, small form factor. The front usb ports are a nice touch.

Cons: Hard to work with. I could barely squeeze everything in. It took forever just to put the whole computer together. The case fans do not come with a motherboard connector and are extremely loud.

Other Thoughts: Overall, I got what I payed for. It is cheap and the whole case is cheaply made, but it is a greater starter case for anyone who wants to throw something together for a low price.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Cheap Case

Pros: dirt cheap

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: this case is cheap, havent got a board in it yet but for 30 bucks its a good: small build, limited use case. will learn about power supply durability and heat issues once is all set but for the money its plenty decent
