Size and placement
- Pros: Size is great, perfect to put next to an hdtv. Color is great, the paint is nice. The aluminum isn't too thin and the PSU wattage is decent (400w included isnt bad!). Removable trays make it easier to put together the mobo.
- Cons: No rubber feet (but probably because so it can be laid flat or standing up). The cpu placement is quite close to the disc drive. The cpu fan is covered by the SATA power and connector cables so there's less air flow than desired. The included PSU doesn't have an 8 pin connector for mobos and some of the wires could be a tad longer. The included input and output fans are fine in terms of sound but the PSU fan is ridiculously loud. Even closed you can hear it from across the room. Good thing I use a surround sound system.
- Other Thoughts: A decent case. You're paying very little money so not much to expect. My biggest complaint is the PSU fan; super loud for no good reason. I'd like to see the same quiet fans used for output/input air for the PSU.
It's Just Fine
- Pros: I have been running a via c7 in this or about 6 months or more with no troubles. Perfect case for making a small simple setup.
- Cons: The included fans are a little noisy. They can be disconnected easily with no fear of over heating... at lest if your using something like a via eden type of processor. The edges can be a little sharp.
Not impressed, but shouldn't be
- Pros: It's a very nice size for saving space, comes with a power supply which will be fine if you don't plan on going to far on accessories or performance.
- Cons: People who do not know what they're doing, or posers and wannabe modders will buy the black version of this case and try to cram in real power demanding hardware and try to create a sleeper which in turn, will bite them in the behind when the PSU fails.
- Other Thoughts: If a PSU fan dies, replace it. Don't continue to run it until the PSU itself dies...geez, newblets...Oh yeah, and if it died in the first place, you're obviously placing too much stress on your PSU because of all the power hungry components you think will just run. If you really want to mod with big boys, you can't just make compromises especially not on power supplies.
