Solid case
- Pros: Solid case! Lots of room. Everything fits fine.
- Cons: paint is a glossy black(shows finger prints). Font has Plexiglas cover.
- Other Thoughts: so the cons aren't cons, just things that i didn't catch from the photos. Nice solid case!
Very Pleased
- Pros: Sturdy, roomy, well layed out, glossy black paint job, easy removeable acrylic front bezel, good airflow,2 spots for 120mm fans intake/exhaust and 2 80mm fans on the side Panel
- Cons: Others have pointed out the front drive covers but it looks like you could screw them in place with the right screws
- Other Thoughts: I do like old school cases and this fits the bill.It only needed a little modding as others have said for the 120mm fans so you can get some better airflow out of them. After adding the 80mm fans to the side to help cool your pci-e cards. So Good Luck on your build :]
review part 2
- Pros: very sturdy case. i was surprised at how sturdy the side panels are when taken off. the power led is a nice blue color that makes the whole front light up, and matches my lighting scheme. great paint job. not amazing, it has a lot of orange peel, but still very nice. easy to take out what you don't need. i didn't feel like re-routing the front usb/audio/firewire cables, so i just unplugged them and put them in the box. the case has a very nice overall design.
- Cons: loud. the 120mm fans i use have 16 blades on them, and they DO NOT like being against any grill with a lot of surface area. easily taken care of with a bit of modding. the hdd activity light is pretty weak compared to the power light. the 5.25" and 3.5" bay covers don't really snap in like they do in higher quality cases. some of them you can flex a bit to make them tighter, but some are still pretty loose. the power and hdd led's are held in only by a bit of hot glue, that's all.
- Other Thoughts: i originally bought this case for a mod project, but after it sitting there for a couple months, i decided to throw my pc in it. so far so good, it keeps everything about as cool as my other almost $100 case. the only real gripe i have is when i tried to put my psu in the case. my psu has a nice blue, automotive quality paint job. when i was sliding the psu into the case, the edge of the case scratched a long line down the complete length of the psu, down to the metal. i'll still give the case 5 eggs though ;)
