5 out of 5 eggswhat i exspected

Pros: solid, mostly tool-less, butterfly wing opening,

Cons: heavy (but i knew that when i ordered it, a little heavier that i though)

Other Thoughts: i got this because my last case was annoyingly flimsy and it is nice and solid relatively good air flow but i switched some of the stock fans around a bit.

4 out of 5 eggsA good case with innovative features

Pros: Innovative design with the butterfly panels, which make working on the motherboard VERY easy. The design is exceptional from both an aesthetic and functional perspective. The screw-less HD installation is very nice and fast. The thickness of the case reduces fan noise that would be more apparent in cases with less aluminum in the panels.

Cons: The manual is not very helpful, but an experienced builder can figure everything out on their own. I had difficulty fitting my power supply into the case (i.e. it was very tight and hard to slide into place), but that could have been issues with my own case and not a design issue. The case is heavy and has some sharp corners along the bottom, so be careful when moving it. I also noticed my front door tends to squeek, which was easily fixed by adding a plastic washer to the bottom hinge. The included USB and audio panel has the tendency to push into the case due to lack of adequate securing (a couple screws would have done the trick in the design).

Other Thoughts: Overall this is a great case. The convenience of the innovative butterfly side panels cannot be underestimated, and the other features like the screw-less HD cage and tool-less entry into the case far outweigh the cons listed above. If not for the cons listed, I would have given the case 5 eggs especially considering that many of them could have been addressed via adequate product testing to revise the design. I would still highly recommend this case to anyone that will frequently modify the components of their PC, will not plan on transporting it for LAN games, and are looking for an appealing look for their PC.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The case is pretty sturdy and has no sharp edges. Aesthetics are very nice and layout is normal. The "enforcer bar" is a nice addition, but I will have to chop a piece off the fan block as it touches my Zalman CPU cooler. No biggy, though.
The the motherboard tray hinges down from the case, which helps a lot with installation. Just remember to unplug your cables before opening it!

Cons: Have to remove the backpanel to change out the rear 80mm fan. Same with the front 120mm fan, but that's pretty normal. Removing the panels isn't difficult, it's just really annoying.
The side air duct prevents the case from closing with a standard ATX PSU. I'm not sure what they were thinking when they put that in there. Fortunately, it can be remove easily.

Other Thoughts: A few small issues that need work, but overall a nice case. I'd buy it again.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic

Pros: Great looking case. Inside is very easy to use. For instance, the screwless system works perfectly. Yes, it's heavy but it's very sturdy. The front door is among the most sturdy I've used.

Cons: Only problem i encountered was that the card that held the USB/IEEE/etc ports behind the front door was a little loose, but nothing some hot glue couldn't fix!

Other Thoughts: Quiet, cools well, and nifty design. Easily the best looking case around today. Very easy to work with.

1 out of 5 eggsWhat a disaster

Pros: The case was rated high on cnet and it had a relative nice look and feel to it.

Cons: This would have to be the worst, cheapest quality case I have ever purchased. Not only is it heavy, the cheap plastic components in the case breaks off easily, mine was broken on arrival. The top lever is a joke, and the plastic front cover is laughable.

Other Thoughts: Extremely disappointed in this case, This is the first product I have ever returned for a refund.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Style, Quality Case

Pros: The design from a visual sense is great, still the best except for a few Mac's. Easy access from both sides. Lots of cooling. Very high quality construction. Nice screwless drive connectors. Good value for the $$$.

Cons: Very poor manual. "Hidden" drawer has all the pieces but you have to hunt for the drawer. Not the easiest nor the most difficult case I've worked with.

Other Thoughts: I wasn't able to figure out how to connect my SB audio card to the front headphone/mic jacks because Spire's diagram & Creative's wiring differ. Contacted Spire but they never responded with an answer. Also not a fan of "swing" front door panels. Overall I would recommend this case to experienced builders.

5 out of 5 eggssweet case...

Pros: Great looking.
Easy to Install.
Keeps very cool.
Solid and Sturdy.
Style!!

Cons: USB thing at the top slides back on my case. Need to secure it somehow so it stays @ the front.
Zalman 9700 + eVGA 680i Mobo wouldnt close so i had to close the mobo side and install it on its side. The fan was just a bit too tall.
It's not a light case by any means but very solid.

Other Thoughts: Great case overall, I love it!

3 out of 5 eggsMixed blessings

Pros: Since the cables on my power supply and drives were long enough, installation was an absolute dream. This was one of my easiest builds ever. The case looks great. If that were the end of the story, I would give it a 5. Alas, it was not.

Cons: The "manual" is laughable. It can be a little challenging to get into the back of the case to install the power supply (though a pair of needle nose pliers did the trick). The power LED cable is an odd pinout that did not work with my MB. The front USB/audio panel is very poorly secured. It is easy to push the connectors out of the back.

Other Thoughts: The case is one of the heaviest thing that I have every seen. Only consider it if you never want to move it. Even carrying it to the room that it sits in now from where I built it was a chore and sliding it under the desk wasn't all that easy. At least it isn't going anywhere if someone kicks it. The fit on the front door isn't that great.

2 out of 5 eggsKind of Sucks

Pros: Beautiful case. Its looks saved it from getting one star.

Cons: Installing *every single thing* was difficult, and I've done this before more than a few times. Had to force the back plastic off just to install the power supply.

Other Thoughts: Just way too much of a hassle. The nice looks and Pininfarina name DON'T make up for it.

1 out of 5 eggsPoor tech support

Pros: Nice looking case.

Cons: Manual is laughable. A single sheet in six languages that provides no useful information. Power switch came broken.

Other Thoughts: No detailed manual for a fairly complicated ATX case. Case arrived with the power button broken. Contacted Spire tech support for parts to repair it myself and they told me they could not help, that I needed to bring the case to the dealer for repairs.
