Drivers are unsigned in 64 bit
- Pros: possible, but not observed
- Cons: The drivers will not work in a 64 bit environment because they are unsigned. Apparently the Sabrent QA people have never tried to actually run the drivers on Vista 64, but just compiled them and put them on the web site.
Beyond the obvious problem of a banged-out device that doesn't work, if they messed up there, how good could it be even if the drivers are signed?
So far, so good.
- Pros: I use it mostly to connect my new (still using WinXP/SP3) laptop (no serial port) to network gear (Cisco routers/switches, Aruba access points, Foundry switches). So far it works for all of them.
- Cons: Nothing so far.
