2 out of 5 eggsA real pain to get it working

Pros: Cheap, probably one of the best card you can get for the dying AGP format at this price point. Small form, will fit with small cases. After I got it working, games are running and looking smoother compared to my previous NVidia 6200 card.

Cons: Like the other reviews said, driver installation is simply a nightmare. I'm not sure how other people installed the drivers without a hitch and yet others (like me) cannot get past the windows splash screen after installing the driver, I'm guessing it has something to do with my aging mobo. Tried latest driver from ASUS website and driver from CD, both not working, both gets stuck after windows splash screen. I finally got it working using ATI AGP hotfix 8.12, but not before fiddling around with my bios. I had to change my bios setting and disable the "Assign IRQ to VGA" option. After that, the card seems to work.
Weird, weird positioning of the molex connector. Seriously, what are the designers thinking putting it in such an awkward place. Kudos to someone else's review who suggested to get a Y-splitter for the molex. My default cable will not reach, so I had to use the Y-splitter. Check yours, if it's on the short side, you'd better order a Y-splitter too.

Other Thoughts: Getting the card as a last-ditch effort to make my aging AGP system up to snuff for the latest games. This would probably my last upgrade before getting a whole new rig. Thinking of going Nvidia instead of ATI next time just to avoid the hassle of mangling around with funky ATI drivers, since my previous 2 cards were Nvidia and drivers were never a problem.
On a side note, none of these problems have anything to do with newegg. They ship promptly, and the items arrived within the estimated time. I am a first time newegg user, and I will be looking forward to making future purchases here.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Splitter

Pros: Does what it is supposed to do, no fuss. Construction and materials seem to be solid. Much better than the connectors on my case fans.

Cons: None, works great

Other Thoughts: Are a little too long for my purposes, but if I need the extra length it is there.

4 out of 5 eggsInexpensive RAID

Pros: Easy installation, works with windows server 2003, can use disks of differing sizes, automatic notifications, supports RAID 1+0.

Cons: Causes a 1-2 second pause after initialization during startup, slow to update RAID 1+0 array.

Other Thoughts: It included one 80 conductor IDE ribbon cable, would have been nice to get two. No noticible difference in speed from onboard IDE (good?)

3 out of 5 eggsDoes what it's supposed to.

Pros: Splits power. Does what it's supposed to do.

Cons: When I received the product I thought the ends would glow and the casing would glow under the right light. Neither happened. It's just a basic power splitter.

Other Thoughts: Can't really complain because it does what it's supposed to.
