5 out of 5 eggsSort of like driving stick.

Pros: Well; I am using a secret ninja style of memory, and at first it didn't work but not at fault of memory; one simply needs to up the voltage on the NB, which might not have a satisfactory 'auto' setting, which thing to do was motivated by text I read on the forums of this board's manufacturer.

Cons: I am writing this instead of doing important things because I am irresponsible.

Other Thoughts: I need a girlfriend. I like that one girl in my math class.

4 out of 5 eggsFeature Rich And Hard To Beat

Pros: A load of features for a 975x board. BIOS is relatively easy, and overclocks easy (E6600 @ 3.6 Ghz). North and south bridge run cool. Post code LED, and sweet side LED's to light the room! Heatpiping is also a cool feature.

Cons: None really. All of the DIMM slots died out, so I've RMA'd it. uGuru is kinda useless, 'cept for fan control.

Other Thoughts: Great board, price went down since when I bought it. Seems more reasonable now...

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board Wish it still worked

Pros: This board has been one of the best boards i've owned in a long time. The bios is easy to use, i have not had any problems with the board detecting Sata HD's, it has plenty of SATA, Firewire, USB, and NIC connections.

Cons: Sound card is frustrating. I play C&C and sometimes certain sound streams from the game do not play while others do. Fortunatly the sound is not integrated and i am instead using a cheap sound blaster.

Other Thoughts: Be very careful when pulling out your SATA cables if you use the ones that clip into the slots. I unknowingly pulled off the entire slot casing leaving only exposed wires. When i tried to put the slot back on, the wires snapped off. This really wouldn't have been a problem, but it was my SATA1 connector, and i have 5 Hard drives. Oh well, hope i can get an rma. Something to watch out for though

2 out of 5 eggsWorst Abit board to date

Pros: All the bells and whistles if the board bios was stable

Cons: Board likes to reboot and not hold Bios settings, Abit CS is a joke. Tried to update Bios and it crashed mid flash and wouldn't boot after that.

Other Thoughts: RMA'd first board and new one is on the way. Hopefully it will work correctly. I've always used and like Abit boards, but the last two I've had have been pretty flaky.

5 out of 5 eggsVery, very nice indeed...

Pros: The stability of the board is impressive, as is the overall function. The ICH7R south bridge is an excellent chipset, and with 4 SATA drives in a 0+1 array you get the best of security and speed. OC'ing the 2x1 gig Crucial memory has not lessened reliability, but did not dramatically increase performance.

Cons: Can't come up with any personally

Other Thoughts: Some people have mentioned BIOS update problems, I had no problems flashing the BIOS up to the latest and greatest. Will repost if things change.

4 out of 5 eggsAbit Max Part 2

Pros: This is my 6th Abit board and like the others,it does what it's suppose to do....Very Well. The Utilities disk includes everything you need and the board is a wiz to over-clock. To those that have bad experiances with this board,I feel your pain but if you check the reviews for other boards you see that none of them are perfect either.

Cons: The first board I got wouldn't hold Bios settings.RMA'd it
and had a new board in a week (Gave me a chance to play with my PS 3).

Other Thoughts: This was my first purchase from NewEgg and it won't be my last. No more dealing with packed computer shows for me.
Fast and reliable service.

5 out of 5 eggsUpdate

Pros: I've owned this mobo for a year now. No issues whatsoever. Sorry to hear others having issues with upgrading the bios. I loaded v1.5 six months ago without any problems. System has 2G RAM, Intel E6600, Two SATA drives, One PATA DVD drive, plus all the other stuff sound, video, floppy.

Cons: No cons except it will not go into sleep mode if my USB scanner is turned on. It tries, but fails. USB printer doesn't cause this problem. May be a setting somewhere in Vista to fix this, but I just leave the scanner off when not in use. I doubt this is a mobo problem, but a Vista one. Just thought I'd mention it in case anyone else has the problem

Other Thoughts: Mobo is less than what I paid for it a year ago, but still costly.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board

Pros: All I can say is I love everything about this board from the solid state capacitors, to the passive cooling, and the great feature rich bios. Matched with a core 2 duo and it turns into something truly special.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: why don't all boards have solid caps?

1 out of 5 eggsNot A Durable Board !!!

Pros: Great Technology, SLI Support, and a cool running board.

Cons: USB Panel gave out just 2 days after warranty was up. This motherboard doesn't like just any RAM. You have to watch what RAM you put in it, or you will be wasting your money. I tried Corsair and Crucial, and it spit both of them out!

Other Thoughts: I was somewhat satisfied with this board, but the USB panel going out 2 days after the Warranty was up left a sour taste in my mouth. I won't buy another one!

5 out of 5 eggsNice motherboard

Pros: I found this MB easy to work with and the sound card works very nicely.
For 1066FSB processors, this is a great choice if you are looking for PCIe 2.0 slots.
Has 8 SATA ports, including 1 eSATA and dual 1gbit NICs.
So far I've had no temp issues, but haven't done any OCing with it.

Cons: None at this point.

Other Thoughts: Requires a power supply with 24 and 8pin connectors. Will not run with 24-4. I didn't realize this when I purchased it, so the PS I bought wouldn't work. As long as you know this, it's not an issue.
