- Pros: The board is extremely versatile, especially for the money. This is my fourth abit. If the product stays this good, I have no doubt they will be the #1 board manufacturer. Wait lol they are #1! (newegg too)
- Cons: for the money, none
- Other Thoughts: Their forum is packed with knowledgeable people, freely giving super tips. I have this running an e6550 @428x4 1700fsb on air, with ocz's pc9200@ 1200mhz. This board will take 2000fsb! The best bang for my buck ever!
Very Good,,but not Excellent
- Pros: First thing,,Do A Bios Up Date,,That clears most bugs out...
I was able to get this thing going with a E6850,,Even though it only showed 1.33cpu LOL...Loaded a operating system and flashed the Bios ,, now it sees the 3.0 CPU and the 8Gb Memory,, Just waiting for my 4 hard drives Raid 10 and we should be in buisness..
- Cons: Just the Bios Flash needed....
Past reviewers are NOT technical
- Pros: Very nice board--one of the first to support Quad core proc. Easy installation, install, and software updates. Abit Uguru software is nice (though there are some issues with WinVista)
- Cons: None--other than the reviewers on Newegg
- Other Thoughts: The past reviewers of this board complain about flashing bios with floppies. I've exclusively owned Abit boards now for over 10 years and for at least the last 5 years, Abit has had a utility to use from WITHIN the Operating system to flash the bios--called Flashmenu. It's in the 'download' section on their site-not the bios section. You guys need to do your research before flaming a board/manufacture.
