1 out of 5 eggsNever worked for me

Pros: Had everything I wanted for my first build at a decent price.

Cons: I could never get this board to work with my setup but as it was my first build I first RMAed the CPU, Memory, and bought a larger powersupply before trying a different motherboard (Intel DG43GT) which worked great and has been in use since 2008 as my everyday/light gaming rig.

Other Thoughts: I used the anti-static bracelet and followed directions perfectly so I have to assume the board was just DOA. I should have been smart enough to RMA it while it was still eligible. It felt good to throw it in the trash (and by that I mean properly recycle it obviously) after hauling it around for the past 4 years.

3 out of 5 eggsCan you say defect?

Pros: Cheap for the features

Cons: Oh yea, it doesnt POST well

Other Thoughts: I had the same problem. 1/3 of the time, it wouldnt POST, then turn itself off. Sent it in to N/E with the VC to make sure it wasnt one or the other, they said they didnt carry this part anymore and had to refund my money. Called them to jsut send each out, and got no reason why they couldnt just send me one. Ended up with xx$ voucher for my trouble

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Awesome price, Nice looking board, Windows based overclocking and temp monitoring program.

Cons: The CPU Fan doesn't work properly. It runs intermittently. I have used the System Fan Plug instead of the CPU and it works fine. Also the mobo will intermittently shut down 3 to 5 seconds after turning it on and power back up 3 to 5 seconds later. I have used a different power supply and made sure everything was pluged in proper with the same results.

4 out of 5 eggs965P Chipset starting to show its age

Pros: Good budget board. Runs well up to 1600MHz FSB. Solid Capacitors.

Cons: No firewire. Many times while restarting the board will not post and needs to be unplugged for 15 mins. before it will boot! I broke a few when installing/uninstalling after market coolers. I'll take the blame for that but have never broken a motherboard before or after and I've built nearly 100 PC's.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend a P35 based board if buying today. I have several Gigabyte P35 and G33 based boards and they are all ROCK SOLID.

5 out of 5 eggsNo Complaints here.

Pros: very nice oc
stable
cheap

Cons: none for the price.

Other Thoughts: I got the rev 1.3 when it first came out a few months ago and i think its the best mobo i have ever purchased. Currently running 7x457 on a E6320 1.4v, with 4GB of ram 1:1. Im pretty sure the CPU tops out at 3.2ghz, so i think 500mhz FSB will be possible with different CPU.

4 out of 5 eggsso far so good

Pros: Booted up first time. No errors. Seems solid so far. Easy to use software utilities.

Cons: IDE Controller is way at the bottom. Had to use every centimeter of the included cable to get to my DVD drive. Had a hard time getting my Zalman CNPS7500 installed. Bridge heat sink is very close to CPU. Used my old 533 memory and P4 prescot 3.2ghz on this board and its running great.

Other Thoughts: I gutted my old dell but didnt want to spend too much now on all new components. I was able to use my processor and memory in this board with no problems.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: High stability, good potential for overclocking.

Cons: I've been crying since it bought this motherboard 3 month ago. It has a big, big, big issue with Creative Music Extreme. Still cant fix it and listen to the music from onboard chip.

Other Thoughts: Don't buy it if you have an old creative sound card.

2 out of 5 eggsPoor Support , don't buy for 1333 FSB

Pros: This board was easy to assemble.

Cons: Had a few issues out of the box. Cpu fan speed was erratic. Finally the fan failed to come on even as the CPU heated up. Luckily I had the alarms on and was around to catch. It is best to turn off bios control of cpu fan. Since then my temps have dropped considerably. VCore error appeared on every boot. Tried to get support on the website. No phone number, only email support, no knowledge base, just about 10 faq and that was it. Building over a holiday weekend, left me out to work through solutions. Finally was able to get email response and was told board does not support 1333 fsb. Looking at product page first highlight is 1333 fsb. Read the smaller print! That support is for rev 3.3 boards only. I did bring this to Gigabytes attention since 3.3 rev has it's own web page and asked for an exchange. They were unwilling to exchange even though I had errored, they had mislead. NewEgg being the best issued me an RMA. I'm moving on to just as good board/better company support

1 out of 5 eggsit died

Pros: was ok for a while

Cons: It died after about 4 months, it wouldn't even post. tried resetting cmos and everything. all other components in my case are good.

Other Thoughts: newegg is awesome and let me RMA it. i ended up buying a gigabyte p35... much better than this one. fps in games have went up i think because the sound is better.
