5 out of 5 eggsEasy setup and works great

Pros: Bought this and a 3500+. Setup was a no-brainer. Worked perfectly first time I switched it on. I don't overclock so that has never been a consideration. I look for good, solid performance and Gigabyte delivers.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I have had consistent success with Gigabyte boards and will continue to use and recommend them.

2 out of 5 eggsPoor Warranty Service

Pros: Great performance when it works.

Cons: Poor reliability. Mine died 10 months after purchase. Very slow warranty service. I have been waiting nearly 3 weeks to get it repaired and still it is not back. I don't understand why they would spend so long to "repair" a board that costs so little and not just replace it.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Motherboard

Pros: This motherboard is great. It is compatible with anything I put in it, and it is a good starter board if you want to build a decent gaming rig.

Cons: none so far.

4 out of 5 eggsNoob Proof

Pros: The board itself has a lot of functionality and is very easy to understand when you first pull it out of the box. Changing settings and overclocking is a cinch with this board. Overall great product

Cons: No PCI Express, HT is set at 4x (800) but can be raised....overall great board but soundcard is a must with this one. 5.1 surround and a microphone is impossible with the onboard sound.

Other Thoughts: Overall as a Gamer this board has a lot of functionality and is very good for the entrylevel gamer. If you are just getting to the hardcore level this is a good entry piece. if you're ever going to go PCI Express or SLI, save and wait.

1 out of 5 eggsStay Clear of this one

Pros: Great Price, AGP slot

Cons: Bad Quality control through Gigabyte

Other Thoughts: I went through three of these board before buying a different manufacture. Three completly different problems from each board. Bad BIOS, AGP, Memory slots, & one didn't even work. In my opinion spend the money on a better board.

5 out of 5 eggsSeems to work great

Pros: Paired this board with an AMD Athlon 3500+. Seems to work great so far. I haven't tried absolutely every facet, yet, but am working on doing so. Installation with the 3500+ was a breeze, right of out the box. This board seems to have the usual high Gigabyte quality, a decent manual, an easy install.

Cons: I didn't find a port to power the power supply fan, so I used SYS_PWR (I think) which seems to be fine. The "Quick Install" guide mentions a Pentium 4 chip, which seems odd because the board is for Athlon 64 chips.

Other Thoughts: I am happy I used Gigabyte, I have always had good luck with their boards and this board was no exception.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Stable from the box
No problems at all with drivers.
Onboard sound is fair enough.
Backup BIOS makes me feel warm and fuzzy.
Seems to be a lot of options for overclocking, but I have yet to try any of them.

Cons: Onboard sound is fair enough, but if you use 5.1 you have no port for a mic. (I use a mic for VOIP in WoW)
AGP slot is nice at the moment, but limits my upgradability somewhat.

Other Thoughts: I bought this board as a last minute replacement when I fried my BIOS on my last board. It was part of a deal at a local shop that included an AMD64. (Can't find anything that supports an AMDXP quickly anymore) I have been happy with it so far.
