5 out of 5 eggsGreat motherboard!

Pros: Price and features. Everything you need for a great LGA 775 system is built in. The Intel GMA 950 integrated video works well while you decide on which PCI Express video card you want to add later. However, if you're not a gamer you won't even need to. I've switched to Gigabyte boards (from Asus) and have been very happy with the ones I've bought. Very solid and problem free.

Cons: No raid (no a con for me since raid is overrated on the desktop). With a Pentium D 805 (dual core 2.66 GHz) 533 MHz FSF there are no overclocking options that I can find in the BIOS (chipset limitation?)

Other Thoughts: Windows Vista Beta 2 runs great on this board. Installs drivers for everything except the audio which you can download from the manufacturer. Vista Beta 2 is very stable. Hope you got in on the CPP. Makes XP look really dated.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Motherboard

Pros: integrated graphics card and the audio work great. Great BIOS too.

Cons: no RAID

Other Thoughts: I don't need RAID, so it does not matter to me.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Board but no OC

Pros: Put this board into an AOpen H420BBK, stuck in a Pentium D930, and 2 sticks of Kingston DD2 (KVR667D2N5K2/2G) and it started right up and has yet to crash (running 2x Prime 95 for 4 days)

Cons: No RAID no overclocking ability. If this is important try the 8i945gmh. It has RAID and may (not yet tested) support overclocking. Also, the SATA ports are at the bottom right corner of the board which may put them directly inder a hard drive cage, depending on your case.

Other Thoughts: I'm not sure if it is just the motherboard or a combination of motherboard and CPU but I have no ability to overcloke in the bois or via the EasyTune utility.

2 out of 5 eggsCareful - it requires Micro-ATX 350W PS!

Pros: Hard to say, since my 270W PS only lets the system run for about 15 seconds.

Cons: This board *requires* an 350 W PS (according to the manf.). Good luck finding a Micro-ATX 350W PS!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board

Pros: This board is rock solid. Speed is good, and the layout is top notch. I have a few of these out in the field and just bought 9 more. Not one failure in the 3+ months that I have had these boards.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: It even supports the .1 Processors [631, 641, 661, etc]out of the box [not many do even with bios updates. The VT microcode is making for some compatibility nightmares.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Board

Pros: Well, I'm writing this for fellow Linux users/admins. I have 2 of these boards running with Fedora Core 4. Fedora runs perfect on this board. No issues at all. Both boards have Intel 531 processors.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: It's a good buy.

5 out of 5 eggsGood All-In-One mobo

Pros: All in one solution for a P4 setup. Comes with everything needed to run out of the box. No installation issues. POSTed on first attempt. Recognized all connected hardware immediately. Fits in almost any case. Thermaltake BIG TYPHOON heatsink mounted with no issues. Little tricky to figure out how to mount it, but it works great. Some Micro-ATX boards do not support this heatsink well, but this one does. I LOVE the windows based BIOS update utility. Eliminated the need for me to have a flopy drive in my system.

Cons: Some BIOS features are hard to find. (hard disk S.M.A.R.T.) Large PIC-E vid cards hinder memory removal or installation, but then, show me a Micro-ATX board that doesn't. P4 12V power connector hard to get to after HSF instllation.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Performance, take HT and 64bit Intel processors, 667MHz DDR2 memory, easy to install and setup, recognizes SATA drives over 137Gb, customer service.

Cons: Drivers work fully with XP-SP1 or higher.

Other Thoughts: Works right out of the box, customer service actually responds to e-mails and it's very helpful. I've powered the board up with a P4 HT 2.8GHz using a 250W power supply and works fine. I've upgraded to a 450W power supply for more peripherials. The Realtek audio chip works with XP Sp1 or higher and the sound is great. The on board chips require drivers from GB that come with the board. XP does not detect the audio, Ethernet, video chipset and the high speed USB.
