3 out of 5 eggsok when it worked

Pros: Had athlon dual core 4600+ 2gb, 8800 card very stable. very noisy fan. windows 7 64 bit

Cons: died after 3 year. chipset solder joints went bad. would start randomly show one gig of memory and one morning would not turn on. I took a heat gun too the chipset and barley got it too turn on thats how I know it was the chipset. no beep or anything. dead as a door nail. first I have to equalize room environment temp to 200 for at least 24hours and remelt solder joints without popcorning chip, very hard too do if you don.t have a very expensive setup. not worth it. lol

5 out of 5 eggsMobo given by a friend

Pros: Was able to get a replacement chip-set fan for under $10.00 by calling their customer service/tech support.

Cons: Not one problem, not even the review's cons as others. Unknown issues suffered by other posts.

Other Thoughts: Friend gave me this board with a nice 7900GS. Amazing graphics on BF3 and Hawken. Company of Heroes works like a charm after IOMMU load. Easy access to Bios upgrade. 1TB HDD WD flying with just 4GB of memory. For a bottom price, nice system built.

5 out of 5 eggsthe best GIGABYTE mobo yet

Pros: SLI ready, 16gig of DDR2 RAM support, gigabit lan card, and great overclocking features

Cons: not a dual gigabit LAN and no onboard gfx adapter, but its a gamers motherboard so no biggie
make sure u when buy this motherboard u have PCIe x16 card to configure the BIOS before u switch to regular PCI, although nowadays no one owns a PCI gfx card

Other Thoughts: great motherboard for the price, at first i was looking for a low budget motherboard, thinking its not an important factor, but i was proven wrong ones more... i went with a little bit cheaper CPU (the Athlon dual core 3800) but this mobo, despite its somewhat medium price was totally worth the extra $$
with great overclocking and system health features, this mobo is totally worth owning, plus the SLI features and gigabit LAN network card...
i have my CPU overclocked to 2.6ghz cooled by Arctic Cooler Freezer 64 Pro, and what i noticed about the mobo is that when the CPU is overclocked, it check to on POST for any instability, if error or temp. spike occurs, the mobo does not OC, instead it put the CPU on stock, until rebooted

5 out of 5 eggsAWESOME

Pros: Its awesome, supports SLI and supports the new AMD quadcore that will be coming out. Supports uo to 16 GB of RAM. The onboard Audio works good as well.

Cons: Doesn't have an onboard video card but it doesn't matter, I bought a 7900GS.

Other Thoughts: I really liked this motherboard and planning on keeping it for about 5 years or so before replacing it.

4 out of 5 eggsNice Board.

Pros: Very stable, easy build, SLI, high overclockability if you buy good memory.

Cons: I've built several systems with this board, one died after 1 year and 2 months of use, all others are still functional... Dead one was most likely caused by junky PS.

Other Thoughts: Buy a good powersupply. I've taken a 4600 X2 to 2.7 Ghz with bottom dollar memory, probably could have gotten more but it wasn't needed because the computer could run everything fine as-is, I got tired of experimenting.

1 out of 5 eggs10 Hour Motherboard

Pros: Had a lot of nice features, 2 IDE slots, up to 16gb's of RAM, full speed PCI-E 16x slots.

Cons: This board lasted for 10 hours before it randomly shut off, and won't do anything now. Checked the powersupply and it booted up my old computer/motherboard no problem. Also, there are a lack of BIOS options, better than their old motherboards, but not by much.

Other Thoughts: Owned another Gigabyte motherboard and had no problems with. I personally would avoid them after having this problem. Will RMA it and if it comes DOA, or if it does the same thing, I'm gonna refund it and look at a few of the DFI motherboards.

3 out of 5 eggsGood Motherboard, but!

Pros: Good MB for the money. Easy install and performs well. Posted on 1st try.

Cons: Onboard sound died after 6 mos. Installed some PC6400 CAS4 memory that has 4-4-3-8 timings at 2.2 volts. Was able to set CAS, but BIOS would not let me set other timings and only allowed 2.1v

Other Thoughts: Do not buy this board if you plan to overclock or install memory with tight timings.

2 out of 5 eggsMiserable board

Pros: Great specs for a reasonably priced motherboard. I was all excited about the SLi capability but the EVGA video card I bought was defective and had to be RMA'd so I'm running an old PCI card.

Cons: Overlooking the problems with the video card (not the board's fault) the onboard sound doesn't work. USB ports don't work even after the drivers are loaded. Tech support is miserable. You send in an email and get a return email from someone in Taiwan in broken English after a few days.

Other Thoughts: I probably won't buy another board from this manufacturer.
