Pros: Lots of features and they all seem to work. Shipped with A2 bios and both USB3 and Dolby worked. I reflashed bios to A5 easily and everything still worked fine. Onboard sound is amazing. Using this board with a i5 661 and it's fast and quiet. This is a 'no drama' board and that's important to me.
Cons: Onboard Intel video is merely adequate. Only one onboard fan header.
Other Thoughts: I bought this combo for a general pupose rig so I'm not interested in overclocking and I don't need it to be a graphics powerhouse. It uses less then half the the power my current i7/Radeon 5850 rig does however and that is what I'm looking for.

Great MB, atrocious support

Pros: Tons of features, stable, well laid out, high build quality, perfect for an HTPC.
Lack of blinking power LED in standby (S3) mode (was weird at first, but I now realize it's great when you have it in the living room)
Cons: Gigabyte support (see below)
Blinking power LED when Dynamic Energy Saver is turned on, an easy (but not obvious) toggle in the DES2 software though.
Only 1 system fan header, easily fixed with a 3 pin splitter however.
Other Thoughts: I originally purchased a GA-H55M-SH2 for my new HTPC build but soon realized that eSATA, Firewire and USB3 were features I wanted.
Checked out this board on Gigabyte's website and noticed that it had a ATX 12v 4+4 plug instead of the standar 4 pin 12v.
In reading through the online PDF for the board it mentions that a 4+4 connector is recommended by the manufacture for Intel Extreme Edition processors using over 130 Watts, so I figured I should be be ok with a single 4 pin for my low power Core i3 (73W) build.
Just to be sure I contact Gigabyte support asking if since I was running integrated graphics and a lower end Core i3 if I would need the full 4+4 12v plug or if the 4 ping would be sufficient, and if the board needed all 8 pins was there a molex to 4 pin option. The response I got was "This board has a ATX 12v 4+4 connector"
Suffice to say I took a gamble and bought this board, just the 4 pin 12v works perfectly fine with my build, overclocking might be a different s

Unstable, crashes with even the slightest of tweaks

Tech Level: high - Ownership: 1 week to 1 month
This user purchased this item from Newegg
Pros: Cheap, lots of features. Would be 5 stars if it were for the major 'Cons' below.
Cons: I've had this board for almost 5 months now, at first I simply running stock. I would occasionally get a memory_management BSOD but running a battery of tests (prime95 for 8hrs followed by memtest for 4hrs) showed no issues. I dismissed it as a random bug in Windows7 that would crop up from time to time.
Then I noticed even the most minor changes in settings would trigger the bios recovery. For example I have to run my memory at 1333mhz, if I enable the XMP profile to have the memory run at 1600mhz it crashes and resets the previous setting of 1333mhz. Even leaving everything default but changing base clk from Auto to manual, but not changing the speed itself triggers a crash and bios recovery. I tried all bios revisions up to F7.
Other Thoughts: I bought the board based off Hardocp's Gold award it received. I would like nothing more then to give this board another shot and review that board but Gigabyte doesn't do cross-shipping and I can't wait 2 weeks as this is my business computer.
