4 out of 5 eggsBeen using this for 7 years

Pros: I've been using this board for 7 years and it still shines well. Boots like a champ and OC'ed alright. I got a Athlon X2 4200 OC'ed to 2.4ghz and it can still hold its own with playable framerates on the newest video game titles of today with my Radeon HD 4870.

Cons: The BIOS fan is loud... I unplugged that darn thing. Temps are still fine. Trying to run 4 gigs of RAM on windows 7 64-bit was a little tricky due to the DDR1 issues. You can't use default voltage on 4 gigs of ram. You'll get BSOD (blue screens of death) constantly. I OC'ed the voltage on the nForce4, the processor, and the RAM all with optimized performance. I also can't run DDR 400 on 4 gigs of ram. I have to run DDR333 with a FSB set to 220 to offset it a little. Runs perfectly with those settings.

Other Thoughts: This was the mobo I used to build my first computer. It's a nice old rig, but I don't see myself needing to upgrade anytime soon. 7 years old and it's still kicking. I'd say MSI did a great job overall on this board.

4 out of 5 eggs2011 Driver Support

Pros: Great board for its time, with great great features

Cons: LACK OF DRIVER SUPPORT
LACK OF DRIVER SUPPORT LACK OF DRIVER SUPPORT. I gave this board to my dad, and I can no longer find working drivers for the mainboard. Oh sure, there are thoes generic drivers, and "updated" drivers, Thoes may or may not work great, until you try hooking up a printer.

Other Thoughts: Nvidia/MSI has more than enough money to pay for the bandwith for supporting the drivers for download. Shame on them.
Do not buy this board unless you have a STRONG understanding of drivers. Since the lack there of will give ANYONE from 2011+ a headache. Or a parent who will constantly blow up thier ear with problems.

4 out of 5 eggsGood board with a quirk

Pros: Great overall board! lots of expansion and the onboard sound is very clear. Installs great and the resetting the bios is wonderfully EZ (saved me a few times).

Cons: I'm dinging a point here only becasue the graphics card kept getting stuck in a recursive loop. The bus speeds on the RAM needed to be lowered, It works well now but I didn't buy the expensive OCZ RAM to clock it down.

5 out of 5 eggsStable 939 solution

Pros: These boards replaced some ASUS AN8-E motherboards my company ordered from NewEgg. The ASUS boards were OK, but nothing greater. We purchased these in replacement, and have never been happier!

Cons: Absolutely none, other than needing a floppy disk to load Nvidia RAID drivers... but this is due to windows being stupid and only loading drivers of a floppy disk when installing XP. Wake up Microsoft... the world is past floppies!

Other Thoughts: The system is incredibly stable. Used for software development in Windows and Linux. No issues at all. Running with a mixture of single/dual core processors, ranging from the 3500+ to the 4400+.

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible MOBO

Pros: Once setup was done, it is a champ. Takes off and never looks back. Plenty of room for growth, gaming/3d modding alot smoother than the previous MOBO,, thank MSI / Newegg.

Cons: Little confusing with limited written help from the makers.

Other Thoughts: More info needed on the RAID for assisting with the setup in BIOS.
