5 out of 5 eggsNice!

Pros: *AGP
*lots of Bios update (official and unofficial modded)
*Overclock options in newer and modded bios
*Stable Vcore and Vdimm, modification also available

Cons: *MB Bus Speed: 200-300mhz official, depening on your luck you can stuck at less than 300.
*NO PCI-Express, so NO upgrade to newer technology
*SATA ports 1 and 2 unlocked, use slots 3 and 4 (closest to the cpu)

Other Thoughts: I set up a system with this MB, Venice 3000+, XP-90 HS, 90mm Nexus fan, and extra parts I had. Mine runs stable 2565MHz(285x9) @ 1.55 Vcore (1.475 +8.3% in the bios), 3x HT with Corsair VS 1GB (512x2) @ 2.5-3-3-8 1T timing, 2.6 Vdimm using 133 Mem divider to compensate and finally 1.C3 Bios by sideeffects. Considering my venice can go higher than the MB bus speed, I wish I tried Platinum version or DFI lanparty and probably could've hit 2700MHz. But, overall it's stable and nice MB. I am quite happy about the OC result (42% OC from 1800 stock speed)! The lan problem was easy to fix.

Comments: This board was dead on arrival.
Can't give high marks on a dead board. It0's been gone RMA to MSI for two weeks..............
I've used plenty of MSI boards in the past and had zero problems.
In the mean time I bought a Gigabyte K8NSC-939 and couldn't be happier.
Now I'll have to sell the RMA'd MSI mobo.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Board!

Comments: What a great board this is. AMD64 Socket 939 support with all the right bells and whistles, and it won't break the bank. MSI makes great products, and this is one of them. This board is the same as the Platinum but without the second LAN or FireWire. Yes, the net interface didn't work out of the box as detailed elsewhere here, but entering the MAC code into windoz solved the problem.

Purchased this system to replace an MSI K7N2 Delta board that I have grown to love over the last two years. Love it so much, transitioning to this new nForce 3 board has been really difficult!! Wish I could use both at once!!

4 out of 5 eggsNice board for this price

Comments: I also bought an AMD 3700+ San diego and 2gb Geil PC3200.

First the conns:

IDE pins are too close together. Its a very tight squeeze getting them all in there.
Ram configuration was a bit confusing. In order to run dual channel, you put each stick in a different color slot when using just 2 sticks. Would make more sense to me to have the sticks go into same color slots.
The manual is a little weak. It could have much better details.

Very stable
Nice overclocking features
Online bios and software updates
Takes most ram types
Nice periphials come with it like extra USB 2.0 ports.

I considered the ASrock ULI board because I have an X800XL and I may want to upgrade to PCIe in the future. This board was only $10 more and has a very good reputation and better OC options.

I upgraded from an Nforce2 ultra 400 Soltek board and a 2800+ OC'd to 2312mhz.

This rig is absolutely blowing it away. I was really surprised at the increase.

2 out of 5 eggsno right side sound

Comments: cant get right side sound, drivers, different speakers and headphones. Header board plugs inside have right side, rear plugs dont even when AC97 configured for 2 channel operation.

Comments: great motherboard, works perfect, i made a mistake when i installed the bios of including the ide controller but apparently you arent supposed to install that with windows xp, so that was human error, anyway this is the greatest board for the price that you are going to find, this is a must buy

Comments: This is my sencond MSI MB and I am pleased as always, the only thing I find bad is that it will not allow me to adjust the core voltage down.
