4 out of 5 eggsGreat board. Vista likes it

Pros: The board has two SATA ports. Two PCI slots, and one AGP 8x slot. It also has onboard LAN, 4 USB ports, onboard audio, a serial port, printer port, and PS/2 keyboard and mouse ports. It has two 184pin DIMM slots capable up to 2GB.

Cons: The onboard Unichrome graphics are total garbage, but you can adjust whether it uses 16, 32, or 64MB from your RAM stick. I used 1GB. Overclocking isn't too hard, if you know where overclocking is labled.

Other Thoughts: Used an LGA775 P4 2.66 o/c'd to 3.7 Ghz, and lagged a little on POSTing. Overall, great board.

2 out of 5 eggsIt MIGHT work

Pros: When it works, it does what it's supposed to.

Cons: Rarely does it seem to do what it's supposed to do. After getting a few that were DOA, I got one that worked...accept for the audio. It didn't recognize that there was any sort of onboard audio device at all. Very frustrating over-all.

Other Thoughts: This board will most likely cost you twice as much because of it's issues. I recommend spending a little more and getting better quality. This one just isn't worth the time.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat board

Pros: Good board that installed easily. I paired it with an Intel P4 630 @ 3.0 and 1 gig pqi memory. Works flawlessly, and setup posed no difficulties. This board was used to replace a smoked eMachine board, so I wasn't looking for a super-fast machine.

Cons: The auto-updating software frequently won't load, and when it does, it tells me that a new version of the firmware is available that's two versions down from the one I'm running...oops...

Other Thoughts: Fast and accurate order delivery by Newegg.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Little Board

Pros: Great little board. Running P4 3.4 Prescott chip/1 gHz RAM and no issues. Bios setup a breeze everything recognized and loaded. Great drivers. Good job MSI.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Great for building backup PC or second gaming rig. Used it to upgrade old Gateway 1.7 with (yuck) Rambus. Gotta love the price.

2 out of 5 eggsNot very good

Pros: It fits into my gateway case. Good size motherboard

Cons: Temperamental. Keeps having issues with the memory, every reboot gives a different answer. CMOS check sum errors on warm boot. And 3.2Ghz is MAX cpu speed. Hangs in saving CMOS

Other Thoughts: Never buy this brand again. Too limited on options. No over clocking. CMOS issues never the same issue twice.

5 out of 5 eggsThis is great board just know you have to flash the bios from the start

Pros: Cheap and reliable if you want a cheap build for a dual core pentium d 800 0r 900 series

Cons: None for the price

Other Thoughts: I have had this board for 8 months and I was running a celeron d 326 it ran like a dream no problems. i upgraded to a pentium d 945 and I had all the reboot problems that are discussed in the other reviews but a quick bios flash and it was fine. msi packages software with the board that installs msi live monitor and once a week it actually searches for new drivers and bios and tells you when they are available you just click install on the ones you want. No need to go searching all over the net for them. and yes you can run a dual core on this board but it has to be a pentium d. and it will not run the pd 960 it will only run 3.4 ghz and below I havent tested the 800 series but i think they will run no problem I will repost when i find out. msi has a link to compatible cpus if you want to check for yourself. its located on the product page for this board.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the money

Pros: I bought this about 1 year ago for a cheap computer for my brother. I paired it with a Celeron D, and 512mb ram and it's run flawlessly. Installed easily, no driver or compatibility issues, never had a problem with it.

Cons: Unichrome graphics are absolute garbage plus they eat up quite a bit of memory (64 or 128mb all the time, as most shared video does). It even had trouble playing Jedi Knight II, a Quake 3 based game. It would only run at 1024x768 and even then would lag at some points. I've run this game on much slower systems with a geforce 2 level video card and it ran much better. I popped in a geforce fx 5600 and all of my brother's game run like butter.

Other Thoughts: Save for the cheap integrated graphics (which help explain why the board is relatively inexpensive), this board has behaved like a champ and it has great processor support, all the way from Celeron D's to Pentium 4 6xx series, making it easier to upgrade the processor if need be.
