5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very good Micro ATX board. Works with "Vista" just fine. Has above average selection of "front Panel" connectors.

Cons: Manual OK but not great. The on-board video is OK, if you just want to do some basic family type gaming, but only scored 2.6 on the Vista Video Rating System. I switched to an XFX 7600, and it shot up to over 5. Overall system rating is 4.8. (Limiting factor is CPU, rted at 4.8

Other Thoughts: Hard to beat this board for the money. It has what most people need, including both SATA and IDE (2) hard drive connectors. Runs reasonably cool (100deg f) in my set up:

Inwin V6052 microtower case, AMD 64 X2 4000 Brisbane, stock fan, 3 Gig Kingston Mem.

5 out of 5 eggsNo problems with memory

Pros: It has all of the features I wanted - SATA, IDE, Nvidia video (for driver support), sound. I've been running one for a year with Win2003 and just put a second together with XP, 32-bit.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: One board is fine even with a 20 pin psu connector as opposed to a 24 pin (plus the separate 4 pin).

Memory has not been an issue. The two boards are using

Crucial Ballistix 2GB

CORSAIR XMS2 1GB

5 out of 5 eggsReliable

Pros: Reliable. Price. Has DVI video for main video source or as a great fail-over in case the add-on vid card fails. Handles most memory I've thrown at it. Generally Corsair, but sometimes A-Data, or others.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I have used these on 90% of all my PC builds, and 100% on all my AMD PC builds. Not one failure yet.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Board

Pros: Very nice, comes with plenty of extra's. I refuse to overclock, so i have no idea what it is capable of. All I know is that its running my system perfect.

Cons: was getting a "No 80 pin conductor cable" error on load. Problem had to do with i required a different cable for my ide hard drive. Fixed problem by going with a SATA hard drive insted.

Other Thoughts: Computer Specs:
Board: Asus M2NPV-VM AM2 Micro ATX
Chip: AMD x2 64 6000+ Windsor 3.0
Ram: A-Data 4 Gig (2x2gig) ddr2 800
Video: Saphire ATI 2900 Pro 512meg
HD: Western Digital 2500JS 250gig SATA
Case: ThermalTake Lanbox Lite

Going on just over 2 months and not a problem since.

5 out of 5 eggsUnder-rated by yo yo's

Pros: This is AZUS quality for sure. Bought two of these boards for a his and hers setup running the FX-62 Windsor and Crucial Ballistic memory. Both boards have been running for 2 months now and everything works perfectly. Even both front and rear audio panels are working, which is why we scrapped our BioStar boards purchased beforehand.

Cons: The video driver is questionable. One loaded OK, the other did not. Be sure to download the latest nvidia driver to a CD from nvidia. Then run the automatic driver feature from the software disk included. If you loose the screen, you can boot to (F8) and run VGA mode, at which time you can load the updated video driver. I also, flashed the CMOS but it is not really required as the CMOS was pretty much up to date and you will not experience any benefits.

Other Thoughts: I had a Maxtor SATA add-on card to run my WD SATA Raptor HD before the upgrade to this board. Be sure to remove the installed driver for the Maxtor device. Otherwise, you will be reassigned a new drive letter for the hard drive and the new drivers will not load because it will be looking for drive C:. This one hurt -- as WinXP Home Edition does not allow you to remap your C: drive -- ouch!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Media Center board

Pros: Multiple video outputs: DVI,VGA,SVideo,Composite,Component. Great reliability of ASUS boards. Works great with Kingston Memory. Lots of features for cheap price.

Cons: No bundled optical/coax audio header/dongle. Have to boot from regular monitor and set TV mode in bios before you're able to boot from component/svid/composite (minor).

Other Thoughts: This is a great media center PC motherboard. The only downfall is no on board optical/coax audio header, and it doesn't include a dongle. This is a MUST for home theater PC's. Other than that the board is great, and I highly recommend it.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Seems to be the best Micro-ATX board on the market.

Cons: Arrived DOA. Green LED was getting power, but nothing would spin up.

Other Thoughts: I'm willing to be open-minded that the replacement will work out better.

5 out of 5 eggsThis motherboard is great.

Pros: Works great with AMD X2 Dual Core 5200+ processor and two WD320AAKS mirrored drives the performance is outstanding – used Sandra.
I was curious about the dependability of the onboard RAID and whether it really supports hot plug ability.
I tried twice unplugging a power cable of one of the drives while the machine was running. The RAID worked fine and the Media shield poped out a message about the faulty drive. Plugging back the drive I was given the option to rebuilt the array and choose which drive to use as a source for rebuilding. This is great in case you are going to perform a dangerous installation.

Cons: Only two PCI slots.
