1 out of 5 eggsJunk

Pros: None

Cons: Everything

Other Thoughts: Board made it 6 months. NIC failure. I've had issues with both AMD and Intel models. I just had to replace a board for the third and last time. I used to be a big ASUS fan. I won't ever use another ASUS product.

1 out of 5 eggsComplete Failure of a Motherboard

Pros: With the cons that are listed there can be no pros.

Cons: I owned 12 of these boards that I installed in computers for a local business. (The intel boards I normally purchase were out of stock.) Within a 1 month I have had to replace 8 of the 12 boards. I went ahead and replaced all 12 boards because I didn't want to wait for the other 4 to go bad. The problems I have had with the boards have been. Onboard NIC stopped working on several boards (windows didnt even recognized they existed). Video randomly freezing and displaying boxes all over the screen on several boards. And finally I had one board that fried the CPU and a stick of RAM, (motherboard still worked in it though, and there were no power stores, besides I have battery backups and surge protectors). I am suprised that ASUS would put out such garbage. They have had so many other products that were great.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board for Partial Upgrades

Pros: Ability to re-use older RAM and AGP video cards. Fast & Stable...

Cons: No SPDIF header for onboard sound. Had to go with another sound card in a PCI slot.

Other Thoughts: Wish I had purchased 2 of them! They're getting hard to find...

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Excellent product if it meets your needs. Nothing to add to previous reviews. Runs WOW Half-Life with 7600GT just fine.

Cons: Problematic network? I purchased two of these boards - after periods of 1 wk to two months, the network chip disappeared - works fine with old network card but this solution does take a valuable PCI slot.

4 out of 5 eggsSo far So good

Pros: Cheap and functional. I have had my "desk PC" for many years, running a Athlon 2400+. I just upgraded my gaming machine and had an e6300 leftover. Th e problem is i also had nice cas 2 DDR 400 RAM, a 6800 AGP and an older case with an ATX PSU and a bunch of old SATA drives...

Cons: Not enough PCI slots or memory slots, 3 of PCI, 2 of DDR. My DDR CAS 2 will only go up to 354 in lieu of 400.

Other Thoughts: Again, this board is cheap and funtional. I can do everything i need to do, and as far as I am concerned, i only spend $60 to upgrade, as the other processor was used. Even so, $200 to upgrade it not to shabby. It runs all the applications fast and plays a lot of the heavy hitting games.

3 out of 5 eggsGood board...except for onboard NIC

Pros: Great for an interim upgrade for less than $500. No PCI-E, but I didn't want to replace my AGP video card just yet. Board has been solid except...

Cons: On-board NIC died after about a month. Somewhat disappointing, but onboard NIC's are never that spactacular anyway so I'm not going to bother with an RMA since I can use a PCI NIC that works better anyway.

Other Thoughts: I would have given this board a 5 if it wern't for the bad NIC. Still a good deal on an otherwise good board.
