5 out of 5 eggsAsus K8N-DL

Pros: Good overclocking, very stable. Asus still supports this year old board with the ability to use any 200 series Opterion you want! Unlike everyone else out there that makes dual opteron boards.

Cons: I can't really say I have any. If I had to say 1 it would be the single pci express slot but then again the power of 2 dual core processors more than makes up for. Slap in a 8800 gtx and you are a virtual superpower, need I say more.

Other Thoughts: I didn't get mine from newegg cause they never have them. I've been building computers for 7 years. Best board I ever!

5 out of 5 eggsThe best i ever got

Pros: It is the best mobo you can buy. Make sure you know what you are doing. The ram you need for this mobo is an "ECC" memory.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Don't believe what you read by the other reviews. I built this computer and never had a problem. Make sure you know what you are going to buy. This mobo is not for newbees.

1 out of 5 eggswhat a hunk of junk

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Cheap.. this board is a hunk of junk! i now have had 2 over the past year, and both have given me nothing but trouble:
The NB fan is very loud, dont even think about replacing it, as the PCI-E vid card rides right over top of it, with VERY little clearance..

Other Thoughts: PLEASE save yourself the headaches and buy a serious board from a serious manufacturer...
Asus does NOT belong in this server/workstation market, as their lacking product reliabilty proves this painfully

The moral of this story is, if it's cheap (like this board), it'll run cheap...

4 out of 5 eggs4 for 4

Pros: Still going strong a year later. Price/Performance ratio still extremely high. Decent features for the price.

Cons: Had a northbridge cooler fan die on one of my oldest boards a couple weeks ago. Don't know if they're still shipping with the non-dual core BIOS or not.

Other Thoughts: Not bad considering what these boards have been through in the last 18 months. They've been run 24/7/365 @ 100% CPU load and shipped halfway around the world with only the previously reported hiccups. Nothing a modified Zalman NB HS couldn't fix.

5 out of 5 eggsI am complete

Pros: I am complete.. this mobo with 2 Dual core 275 Italy i may add is a dream...i have tested the latest Conroe 6800Extreme with gpu-sli...and didnt saw any difference at all. For been an "old" board with the legendaries opterons still rock solid and very competitive...also make sure you have the latest bios so is a breeze when you add the second cpu...when you install everything...make sure you dont install everything at once...first one ram and cpu1, then after bios is updated...be sure will ran everything..

Cons: i would like more Pci32...then is perfect...

Other Thoughts: hummmm not really

5 out of 5 eggsASUS is the Bomb

Pros: The components are well laid out. Has been stable. I am using corsair memory and an opteron 246. ASUS boards have always rocked.

Cons: There was no PCI slot far enough to the right to use a PCI Riser card for my 2U server case. Due to this I purchased a 3U server case.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Mobo

Pros: You have both worlds with this mobo...you can creat a nice server with this or a very powerfull workstation capable of running virtually anything...I might say is not for begginers...can be a little headache...but after the jumpers and the new updates are set it transform into a glorious platform...solid...remember use ecc registered ram with this...and try to put it toguether with the 10kraptor...you will see what this board is all about. i have it with double 275 italy and 12gigas ecc...Try it but be patient..

Cons: if you have installed directly with windows 64x the normal in-windows bios updater...wont work properly...but dont worry...copy the latest bios (from asus site) on a cd...restart with the cd, press alt-f2 and voila it will instally it alone from Ezflash...

Other Thoughts: i like intel...but in Corp world AMD is the stronger sword....

5 out of 5 eggsNice Board

Pros: Great features (it's an Asus!) 3 Gig SATA rocks

Cons: Cramped in a mid tower case, and weighs a ton with heatsinks.

Other Thoughts: Bought this as my first server board, then changed ny mind a built a nice dually workstation. Running twin 246's (saving my $$$ for some dual cores later!), 2 GB RAM, and cheap 7600GT graphics card. This thing smokes right along. Does all my gaming, renders 3D, and will rip video without breaking a sweat. Thanks to all those who reviewed this board before I bought one. Big help in picking the right hardware!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Unlinke other ignorant commenters, this is not an open box motherboard. The board comes with all the connectors stated. Mine shipped with the updated BIOS and I had no problem immediatly putting both opterons into the computer. Setup was a breeze. The overclocking options on the board are decent for those interested, ive always been. Sata three works wonderfully. SO far no problems with the board, i have always been an ASUS fan because of their good overclocking products and in my experience good tech support.

Cons: The board is a tad bit cramped but what can you expect when trying to fit two processors, new graphics cards and all the other bells and whistles of this product on one board.

Other Thoughts: Im impressed for the money, a much better buy in my book then spending more on other brands. Remember to buy the right memory, match things up correctly to avoid problems.

5 out of 5 eggsBeutiful

Pros: This board is very stable, easy to set up. Tech support is great aswell.

Cons: Only two PCI slots, and I can only use one because of my Gfx card

Other Thoughts: what i said before sums it up
