5 out of 5 eggsGreat MATX mobo for s478!

Pros: This board will take any s478 chip....ever. Check out the CPU Support on the asus website. It ships with the 901 BIOS already on it.

Cons: No vCore or vDIMM adjustments allowed. Aging platform.

Other Thoughts: I've had quite a few chips in this board in the past week and it's auto-detected voltages and performed flawlessley in all cases. (1.7GHZ P4-M, 1.8A NW P4, Celeron D 340). My Celly is up to a prime stable 3.52 GHz @ 160FSB with stock voltage. If this board only had AGP/PCI locks and vCore adjustment.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat board!

Pros: I've had this board for 3 years and its treated me great. Don't be fooled by the cheap price, its really that dang great.

Cons: Had a few problems as of recent, mostly due to it now dieing a slow death. Still it kept things going and thats all that matters.

Other Thoughts: If your building a cheap computer, go with this mobo. You won't regret it.

5 out of 5 eggsworks well

Pros: cheap, well designed solid product.

Cons: only thing i found that suprised me was the lack of glue under the caps. it's almost impossible to get the little buggers to flush mount so EVERYONE puts a little glue under them, also prvents them from getting tweaked off if they are bumped. not so with the board i got, might be a spoof, because i've never had this happen and i have had 5+ asus boards

Other Thoughts: agp is 'old' but this board is perfect for a budget box, and can be upgraded to make it a mid range gaming rig.

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: It's an Asus board and I bought it from Newegg. How does it get any better than that.

Cons: DOA right out of the box. And I didn't realize that you have to send it back to Asus, not Newegg. And try to contact Asus on a the RMA - what a joke.

Other Thoughts: Well, I will always buy from Newegg because they are the best. I will no longer buy Asus boards from Newegg - not worth the risk of a bad board.

5 out of 5 eggsoverclocks great and is stable

Pros: Overclocks easily and my 2.4 celeron is running @ 2.9 with my Zalman.

Cons: Only wish it cost less, but for the money you still can't beat the price performance/stability ratio.

1 out of 5 eggsArrived DOA

Pros: Unfortunately NONE.

Cons: Arrived DOA. This was to replace an earlier model of the same motherboard which died on me one morning when I did a reboot. Have not yet tried to contact Asus for a replacement, but at best that means an extra week of being down.

Other Thoughts: My third Asus board. All have been a disapointment. First one had 4 RAM slots - one dead, one could only handle 512 MB Ram, other two were OK. Second Asus board worked OK for about 16 months and died on a reboot. This one arrived DOA. Even if Asus gives a replacement, I guess I can never EVER buy Asus again.

5 out of 5 eggsGood motherboard for the money

Pros: Easy overclocking. Works great. It's ASUS.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I have bought several of these motherboards over the last several months and have no complaints. They are well-designed and have a reasonable price for making a low-budget system or for upgrading.
