5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board

Pros: I have had this board for the last 6 years and have loved everything about it. Everything you could ever want on a DDR1 board is here for a very cheap price

Cons: Ram has four slots but max memory supported is 3gb.

4 out of 5 eggsStill running strong

Pros: Worth the money. It's an A8N SLi board with the SLi. Like BTK, I OC my Athlon 4000+ to 2.9GHz stable on AIR!

Cons: Every once in a while whenever I want to access the BIOS, POST won't pick up my USB keyboard, forcing a coldboot every now and then

Other Thoughts: Athlon 4000+, 7600GS 512MB, 2gig Corsair XMS OC to DDR450, 480w Antec

5 out of 5 eggsLove this board!

Pros: Got this board about 2 months ago and have had no problems with it. I've been able to overclock to 2.9 GHz on AMD 64 4000+, RAM it's 2 kits of 1 GB G SKILL ZX (2GB) rock solid orthos 10 hours stable @ 207 MHz 2-3-3-5 2T Dual Channel. Alpine 64 HSF with Arctic Silver 5. CPU loads 52C.

Cons: None I have execpt there's no SLI and SATA is only 1.5 GB's though HDD's don't really put out more than 0.9 GB's transfer rate.

Other Thoughts: Maybe flash your BIOS to latest and problems will be fixed.

5 out of 5 eggsAnother quality ASUS board

Pros: Solid, full-featured motherboard with room to grow.

Cons: At this point, it's an older board, but in terms of bang for the $, I've found it to be exemplary.

3 out of 5 eggsRough start

Pros: Nice features.

Cons: Had issues installing Windows 2000 right out of the box after build. Kept freezing up during install and had a couple times where came back with corrupt file messages. Come to realize that the chipset fan is not running. After messing around with it for a bit I figured out it was a loose connection in the 3 wire plug. After crimping them down a little more solidly, fan runs as it should. Everything works fine now and installs run as expected.

3 out of 5 eggsFair.

Pros: Pretty stable. Good O'clocking features.

Cons: Fan cooled NBridge, un-necessary noise, and failure risk.

Discovered AFTER i got this board, NO SATA 2, I went freaking backward from my ASROCK board. (passive Nbridge too!)
