4 out of 5 eggsBasic board, but works as advertised.

Pros: Low price, adequate features. Good positioning of the IDE cable adapters toward the bottom of the board so you don't have to stretch a short cable to reach them, many case manufacturers put the HDD slots at the very bottom front while MOBO manufacturers put the IDE pins at the very top of the motherboard. No worries with this board.

For those wanting a non-SLI basic system, this board is perfect.

Cons: Slightly shorter design didn't match with any of the available motherboard mounts in my case along the front of the motherboard; I had to be extra careful snapping in the memory so I wouldn't bend the motherboard. The motherboard didn't come with any non-screw type standoffs to cover this differnece in design.

Documentation was a little on the thin side. I had to remove/reinstall memory to enable dual channel as the proper installation was not described. Jumper label terminology doesn't match common case jumper terminology (like power/reset, speaker, front audio, USB) and takes some testing to figure out.

Other Thoughts: Would've given it a 5, but for the issues above.

3 out of 5 eggsGood for the price

Pros: Cheap. Plenty of slots for everything, including 4 RAM slots.

Cons: Firmware and drivers that come with it are HORRENDOUS. If you do not install the updated drivers, expect ridiculously poor performance on almost everything (namely the Ethernet port).
Also, the RAM slots are too close to the PCI-E slot, so I have to take out the video card every time I want to access any of the RAM slots.

Visit that and use only those drivers.

Other Thoughts: For the price, it's great. Don't expect anything too wonderful though.

4 out of 5 eggsGoog so far

Pros: Came up with no problem.

Cons: Onboard sound doesn't work on the rear panel, but works from the front panel. Flashed bios, downloaded drivers, nothing. I bought an OEM copy of Vista so I'm not sure if it's Vista's fault or the mobo. I haven't read any other posts claiming no sound from the rear so I think it's the mobo. Not enough of a reason to RMA for me.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Mobo

Pros: Booted first time up. Bios easy to understand. Liked the overall layout was nice to work with.

Cons: Had to remove the chipset cooling to get the cpu heatsink and fan to install but wasnt hard to do.

Other Thoughts: Wouldnt recommend this motherboard for first time builders but only because of the chipset cooling problem mentioned above. Otherwise a very good motherboard!!

1 out of 5 eggsTerrible --- unfortunately

Pros: sadly none for me.

Cons: where to start, the board needed bio flashed right out of the box due to video artifacts and lockups...I had already purchased another power supply by then though (antec) because I thought it was a power issue. bios fixed video issues, but it still locks up, so I ordered another and replaced it. exact same issues. not sure if the sensors are correct but it shows my athlon 64 running at 50-60 degrees celius. Now I have to RMA 2 boards.

Other Thoughts: I'm very dissapointed. I have had great luck with ECS boards in the past. I just don't get it. every component is high quality (Kingston RAM, Antec Power, Samsung SATA drives, Maxtor 300GB IDE drive, Liteon DVDRW)
I'm a week late on this build (which I promised my wife would be done last week so she can use it for photoshop) by the time I get this straightened out I may be 2+ weeks behind. Very frustrating.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat MOBO

Pros: Great motherboard, It has a whole buncha PCI and PCIE slots, along with 4 memory slots which gives it a plus to me. again, good bang for your buck.

Cons: The mobo wouldnt fit perfectly in the case i bought but who knows, that could be the case manufacturers fault, no onboard video??? That's the only downsides.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Case...

Pros: This is a very good case, comes with a very high powered Power supply. I expected the power supply to be cheap and barely working but it is running my system very well. The metal is nice and clean, no dents or dings, nice beige finish and a bunch of room for extra harddrives and such. Awesome case for 20 bucks.

Cons: My motherboard wouldnt fit perfectly, but that could have been the MOBO manufacturer's mistake. Other than that this thing is tip top condition.

Other Thoughts: This case definately won't disappoint you if you are just looking for a generic case, if you need a titanium case this is not the way to go.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: great mobo~ everything in convinientent places, everything worked first time (well sorta), including vista and 2 gigs of RAM (via 4x512mb)

Cons: can't add ram w/o taking out video card (at least with an X1800 that is)

Other Thoughts: didn't work fist time, i have no idea why.... thought i did something with the CPU during transfer. put it back in the old mobo(abit AW8 SLI) for a CPU test (btw if your using an NVida chipset NForce 4 specific, vista isn't working for you that it is why i switched to this bad boy)and it booted up. so i put everything back in there and instead of relying on the jumpers i just booted it with a paper clip, and it hasn't had a problem since (and the jumpers also work)
