5 out of 5 eggsawesome

Pros: My grandfather's laptop got a gallon of water spilled on it a couple years ago, destroying everything eccept for the processor. Since I had a processor and nothing else, I decided to try this board out, and I've never had troubles with it since. 2.4 GHZ. processor with 512 MB of ram. Thanks Newegg!!!

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Newegg Rocks!!!

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Not half bad features for such a low price. This is perfect for someone on a tight budget; tough, stable board. I actually ordered a used one elsewhere instead of here, but I felt like adding my two cents anyway. :D

Cons: It's 2007. This board is quite behind the times. DDR 400 memory and a 478-socket processor port aren't exactly cutting-edge technology.

4 out of 5 eggsOk Board havnt had a prob in 11 mounths

Pros: Cheap!! what can i say.. Been working for allmost a year now, bought it new still havnt updated the bio drivers... Y upgrade when the thing works :). about 2 moutnhs ago put 2 gig's of gskill ddr400 in pasted all tests and havnt had a lick of probs. Also cpu is a p4 3.0e works grate for a cheap build. got a zal cooler temps stay between 30-40c.

Cons: None that i had really, only thing i wound say is that it took me about a hour to get my 250 sata drive to work.

Other Thoughts: setup: PT800CE-A, 2gig's of DDR 400 G-Skill CL 2.5-3-3-6, PSU Kingwin 600W, Gforce 4 6600, 2 DVD/cd Burners by Lite-on, Zalman Cooler, 5 120mm Case Fans. 30" LCD Wide Screen Ilo HDTV Monitor.

May Not Be the Best Setup But Works For Now.

All Parts I got From NewEgg (not the lcd) Not 1 DOA.. Thanks NewEgg

2 out of 5 eggsFollowing Up

Pros: Still runs at a reasonable speed for the price. Hasn't blown up, yet...

Cons: SATA Controller died randomly a few weeks ago. No warning at all. Overclocking is horrible, but that's to be expected for a budget board like this one.

Other Thoughts: Bought a ASUS P4S800D-X to replace this for my current but soon to be replaced gaming rig, the PT800CE is in my lil bro's rig now. Running 1GB PC2700, 1.8 Willy P4, XFX 6800 XT

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board

Pros: I have had this board for over six months and it has worked flawlessly. The reviewer below me mentions overclocking, if you overclock and the board dies, you have no one to blame but yourself.

Cons: Now having said the above, it does over clock reasonably well for an inexpensive board.

Other Thoughts: I have not had any problems with this board, contrary to most people, I have had excellent results with Ecs boards, and have four of them running on my personal computers, there is also two other ECS boards running on other PC's in my home.

3 out of 5 eggsSome kind of mix up

Pros: It is what it is an inexpensive MB.It does what it does it works.

Cons: My prob is that the 2nd ide controller is the only ata 133 on the board and the primary ide is 33,66,100 and the sata is worthless. It to me seem that they installed the ide backwards but it detects my sata but it locks up during the post.

Other Thoughts: I just believe they should have recalled all these boards because of the ide and sata problem. I am just going to get a pci controller(133) and I be happy. I will just use my sata in my media pc

1 out of 5 eggsterrible board

Pros: bought one of these boards for my mother in law. lots of cons.board died in less than 6 months.

Cons: when i first got the board, i could not use my pci Aopen sound card, had to use onboard sound. instruction manual was no help when hooking up the board. specs say it was celeron compatible, but no over clocking support for the celeron d.board died in less than 6 months.

Other Thoughts: board died in less than 6 months. will never buy a product from ECS again.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Board

Pros: On a tight budget so I figured this was for me.Also my first ever DYI.Practically assembled itself.I can't understand all the bad ratings unless they bought refurbished.Dummies.Always buy new.Runs perfect.NO problems.Buying another for backup.

Cons: Sata gave me a bit of a hassel but traded a 160 SATA for a 250 IDE so it's cool.

Other Thoughts: Don't be a nucklehead and try to save a dollar by buying refurbished electronics. You'll lose out every time. You also might want to include the fact you bought a refurb in your review so you don't scare anyone off of what is really an excellant mobo.Oh,yeah,NEWEGG ROCKS!
