The Best 680i
- Pros: I found a test of the 680i chipset on Tom's Hardware. After putting all of the types through a large amount of tests, they found that this is the best one.
- Cons: none don't own yet
- Other Thoughts: I am building a comp and this is my board. It is the best 680i.
Great MOBO
- Pros: Tweaking capabilities are excellent! NB runs quiet and fast with stock fan. Lots of connections and upgrade options!
- Cons: Placement of the sata connectors are tight because of my case, and the case hookups are in a hard to get to spot too. But overall nothing too bad.
- Other Thoughts: I wanted to see the 680i in use. And it is real nice! This is a great MOBO to start a new build with.
Intel core 2 duo 2.66mhz, 4gig Corsair 6400 twin, 2 x 320 gb WD sata, 1 80 gig WD sata, Old IDE 40 gig, 2 x DVD burners, and this MOBO!!!
- Pros: Layout is less cluttered than other 680 boards I've seen, fit my gigantic Heatsink, stable
- Cons: Nvidia ships a dinky little screamer fan to allow active cooling, the only problem is the fan sucks. Do yourself a favor and try to find another fan that promotes better airflow/noise.
- Other Thoughts: The only reason I mention the mini fan is that I have a case that has a lot of mesh, so there is no noise reduction. I personally don't use the fan due to my sidepanel cooling the board with 140mm fans
