5 out of 5 eggsnice features

Pros: Tons of bios features lots of slots and plugins for expansion, SLI tons of sata connections works well with my antec 900 case since the mem slots and processor are near a big fan on top and a well written manual to help you out with the oc features

Cons: none that i can think of

Other Thoughts: my first venture into overclocking, there is lots of features so you need to know what you are doing but its still a great board even if you don't do much OCing

2 out of 5 eggsanother cruddy DOA

Pros: tons of features. never got it working consistently, so I can't attest to it's capabilities.

Cons: required a PS2 keyboard to get past the CMOS errors. Wider sized Mobo. 8800GTS fit quite well in a cheapo midtower.

Other Thoughts: This was buggy from the start giving me CMOS erros for a few weeks. took me quite a while to figure out cause I didn't know if my box was overheating or I had bad memory. There's no documentation on the LED status. some LED messages aren't even found on the net. The SATA sockets are 90 degrees to the face of the mobo. Forces you to take both sides off your box (no biggie). newegg needs to flush their supply of this board. Too many DOA's. They should've taken it upon themselves to return the supply when lots of customers started demanding refunds and exchanges.

People at DFI are nice about RMAing, but you have to jump through hoops. there's nothing in their rules that states they are obligated to replace the lemon they sold you. make sure to document everything that went wrong or don't buy an open box item from newegg.

4 out of 5 eggsDFI Wins again!

Pros: This board does everything. Installed with 0 problems. This is my 2nd DFI board, and both have been winners. Seamless, flawless installation with more options in BIOS than you will ever need. VERY overclockable (It's a DFI, of course)

Cons: Only one, my chipset fan is going fast. I would expect a better fan for such an expensive board. I would give it a 5 star rating if not for the fan. I am sure I am going to have to replace it.

Other Thoughts: This board is NOT for the average user. You have to set memory voltage and timing, or the board will seem picky with ram. After you set it to the factory specs for your ram, it accepts many different kinds with 0 errors. If you are not sure if a type of ram will work, email DFI and they will test it and get back to you (took 24 hours). You should be in this habit anyways if you are going to build systems.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It got really good reviews and looked pretty

Cons: it died within six months. I owned this for about six months. There was no overclocking involved, and i kept my computer well cooled. after trying to contact DFI i was basically told i was out of luck. this is an excellent board if you only need it for six months

Other Thoughts: for all the hype i was dissapointed, you can buy a very similar product for much less.

3 out of 5 eggsA good, odd, twitchy motherboard

Pros: Fast, allot of timing controls and many good features such as 3 PCI slots for those legacy cards.

Cons: This board worked great for awhile then it started to shut down randomly. I thought it might be ram but it turned out to be the CPU over temp circuit would shut down the system even though the CPU showed to be at 54C in the BIOS monitoring page. Once CPU over temp was disabled it worked fine.

Other Thoughts: Seems insane to run an AMD CPU with out over temp protection. I RMA'd the board and switched to a different motherboard due to it's flaky behavior. I was worried about what else might be wrong.

5 out of 5 eggsAnother great mobo from DFI

Pros: Great features for overclocking. Easy CMOS features that allow you to save settings. Stability and quality DFI is known for.

Cons: None really

Other Thoughts: This board is great. I went from a Lanparty NF4 Ultra-D to this and this board is just as nice. I got the OCZ "Lanparty optimized" DDR2 and have had no comatibility problems.

5 out of 5 eggsSold on DFI....

Pros: Everything...Great board, worked the first time I installed all my hardware and haven't had an issue yet. Plenty of SATAs, supports 8GB of memory, and SLI.

Cons: Nothing...

Other Thoughts: Make sure on a fresh build to use the SATA connections on the southbridge or Windows won't load...DFI Lanparty, AMD X2 6000+, 8GB OCZ Plat DDR2 800, 2-EVGA 8600GTS 512mb, 2-500Gb SATA II, Win XP x64.

3 out of 5 eggsMabye Im the only one

Pros: Nicely setup board. Tons of Overclocking Features.

Cons: Very picky on ram.
See below

Other Thoughts: I set this board up first with 4 gigs of gskill ddr2 800 ram, 8800 Ultra, Raptor 10,000 rpm HDD, AMD 6000+ CPU, physic processor.

Installed and ran fine on XP but everytime I ran Vista it would crash and bluescreen. I tried OCZ Platnium ram and it would acually install and run but still every now and then it would bluescreen. Not what I exspected outta my LanParty Board
