5 out of 5 eggsMy fourth or fith....

Pros: A recent power surge turned my old HTPC into a small fire, so I brought a new A7A with a E2200. Stable.

Cons: ...well, it could come with two more stat cables.

Other Thoughts: magic number 5. still going strong.

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Value

Pros: Good price point, everything necessary for a decently modern non-SLI setup. Great for office or gaming. Will handle mild over-clocking if you make sure to use compatible memory listed on their site.

Cons: None that I have found. I have no complaints about any features or problems.

Other Thoughts: It has been rock solid and dependable for me from day one. Currently handles an E6420 2.13Ghz mildly over clocked to 2.44Ghz with Corsair 667 RAM. Could probably push it to 2.6-2.8Ghz with DDR2800 RAM and chipset fan.

1 out of 5 eggsHORRID

Pros: Had what I was looking for...

Cons: Turned on comp for first time after all connections were made...no initial beep. Came online to look at reviews, thought that pros would outweigh cons, NOT! Seems to be faulty with graphics card? Other people have same problem!!!

Other Thoughts: Don't buy.

1 out of 5 eggsTaking a Chance

Pros: It sort of works now

Cons: I am on my second one of these. First board arrived with a video card slot that is not working so I returned it. I just got my replacement in the other day and put my PC together again...I've got video this time but now one of the DIMM slots is dead. I've already got it all set up and the OS installed so I guess I am keeping this one.

Other Thoughts: I would stay away from this board if I could redo this purchase

Neweggs return system is really smooth. Only down side is I live in South Florida and it takes awhile for the parts to get to Cali.

3 out of 5 eggsNot a lot of support

Pros: Nice clean board; good design; once I got it running, worked fine.

Cons: Absolutely no documentation in the box. The box contained a static back with a motherboard in it, and that was all. (Also no spacers, screws, or anything. But maybe nobody includes those anymore. It's been a while since I bought a motherboard.) Had to go scrounging on the internet for a guide to installation.

4 out of 5 eggsGood card, if you're running under 3GB of RAM and a 32-bit OS

Pros: Excellently adaptable. Quick to set up and upgrade with. Overall a good card.

Cons: **Do not, repeat: DO NOT buy this MoBo if you're running, or planning to run, more than 3GB of RAM!!** Even w/ a 64bit OS you will NOT get more than 3.25 GB registered on this MoBo. The Chipset is limited to that max value.

Other Thoughts: After weeks and weeks of dealing with Biostar (the numbskulls there insisted that it was an OS limitation. I kept telling them it's not the OS, it's the board, cause I am running Win XP pro x64 which has a rediculous high memory limit). I asked them if they will come out with a Flash upgrade to remedy the problem ... no response from them so far.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Not much.

Cons: PCI x16 slot does not work. Could not get a video signal to my monitor, tried 2 different cards to be sure the card was not causing the issue.
I hope the second one actually works for me.

Other Thoughts: Neweggs RMA process is great.

4 out of 5 eggsWas Happy but Upgrade Disappointed

Pros: This motherboard was amazing for the (almost) a year I owned. Excellent overclocking abilities. Ran a C2D E6400 at 3.1ghz with stock cooling with a voltage adjustment at 36C idle, 58C under load. Nice clean organization of where everything is at. Never had any problems with it failing to boot under standard operation.

Cons: This product would have been a 5 star review if it actually could use 4GB of memory. Because of the limitation of the 945 chipset, the bios will only read 3.25 GB out of 4GB, even on a 64x bit system.

Other Thoughts: At the moment, I'm trying to RMA it since I really needed the extra memory for my line of work. I highly recommend this product, but only if NewEgg would change the max memory to 3.25GB. I feel a bit deceived, especially since NewEgg usually is outstanding.

4 out of 5 eggsdecent

Pros: had everything i needed for a decent price.

Cons: Failed after a power outage... that could be fault of nature or this MOBO. Now I'm buying a new one.

Other Thoughts: pins were a bit difficult to use and required more than usuall force.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the average user w/ old hardware

Pros: Great bang-for-buck if your old mobo fails with old Pentium D 8XX series.

Cons: No raid configurations

Other Thoughts: Was able to OC my old 820 from 2.8 to 3.4GHz with this mobo after my Gigabyte one fried. Was getting a bit hot for my liking so i dropped it back down to the recommended 3.2-3.3 range, but this cheap board is a good bang for buck. Supposing you have a C2D, I wouldn't go for this board, but for the Pentium D series, this is just what the doc ordered.
