5 out of 5 eggsIt's 2013, and this board still works perfectly

Pros: I bought this board in 2005, yet, it still works till this day, Sept 23, 2013. It used to be my counterstrike 1.6 computer and i left it on 24/7 for 2 years. Now its my office computer and it boots up every single time. Paired with WD black 640gb and corsair pc3200 1gb ram, it runs xp right. But now the firefox and chrome take a lot of processing power, so its kind of slow somewhat. This board allows me to slightly overclock and i believe this board has been a very good solid board, only just getting more ram for it makes it expensive to maintain these days. Works great and its been a good performer for what i needed it to do.

Cons: Ddr1 ram is still expensive as hell. Only two fan headers. Sata ports bad placement for gaming cards.

2 out of 5 eggsgood motherboard...when it worked

Pros: the onboard video was nice to hold me off til i got a video card. update features for the bios. the sound was ok

Cons: after having it for about 6 months the pci-express slot just died on me. tried reformatting it three times. flashed the bios and cleared the cmos but nothing worked. couldnt get any support from biostar. very very dissappointed. if anyone else has any problems like mine let me know

Other Thoughts: dont buy this board unless youre looking for a 6 month motherboard.

4 out of 5 eggsBiostar TForce6100-939

Pros: I like the easy overclocking facility, accessed through the bios. I'm running Vista Ultimate on an Athlon 3500+. The performance is great.

Cons: None to date - good board for the price.

Other Thoughts: Would buy another, though maybe I'd get one for an AM2 cpu.

5 out of 5 eggsA 5 star board!

Pros: Excellent overclocking board. I have my Opteron 165 CCCBE cpu running at 2.8ghz stable as can be. That's a 1ghz overclock on an inexpensive M-ATX mobo! Very good build quality, very high quality capacitors, nice to have onboard video to fall back on for when you auction your graphics card.

Cons: At the price point this board's at? None. I would've liked to have seen a firewire option for an extra 10 bucks or so, but there are pci cards here for less than that, so it's no biggy.

Other Thoughts: I very rarely take the time to write reviews and when I do I rarely rate a product a perfect 5 as there are always enough minuses that bring them down. It's an exceptional product that gets a review from me and an outstanding product that scores a perfect 5 stars, err Eggs.

5 out of 5 eggsPleasantly Suprised.

Pros: Solid performance, Stable, SPdif audio integrated video.

Cons: Gigabit Ethernet would be nice.

Other Thoughts: I bought this board as a combo with an A64 4000+ Sandiego Chip. The chip clocks to 3.0Ghz on this board very stably. Integrated video is nice, this will waterfall to my server when i rebuild my main box.

5 out of 5 eggsExactly What I Wanted

Pros: Compact ATX motherboard with a lot of features for an excellent price

Cons: No SLi
No 7.1 Sound
No Firewire header
Older DDR can't keep up with newer DDR-2 standard
I still can't figure out how to properly install the audio headers (microphone and headphone), even with two versions of the manual.

Other Thoughts: All of these issues are minor to me, so that shouldn't keep you from buying one.

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad

Pros: reasonably priced; very stable; some over-clocking features -- just enough for those of us who don't want ot spend all our time messing around with it.

Cons: I bought this as an upgrade from my old pc. So the old hard drive was swapped in, but could not get XP to boot up. I ended up reinstalling xp. Other things I didn't like: aluminum foil-like IO panel; wimpy DIMM sockets; not the best audio - a lot of static; lack of BIOS documentation

Other Thoughts: Despite having to reinstall xp, I still think this is a very good mb. I can overlook the shortcomings listed above simply b/c it is very stable and has some OC features, including auto OC for inexperienced users. Drivers and other software installed w/o a problem. AMD cpu drivers were not bundled so need to download from AMD website if you want the ability to throttle cpu speed. Overall, very happy with this purchase.
