5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: I bought this board as a budget and future proof board(As future proof as you can make it)
The point being the board works great, everything you could want from a Nforce4 ultra board is here, minus 2 SATA 2 slots, but there are four already and most won't miss the last 2.

Cons: You might want a little more for SATA ports, most won't.

Other Thoughts: For those interested the board does overclock with great results.
CPU was able to take a 600mhz OC without raising the board temps with stock cooling. PCIe16x OC wasn't as successful.

3 out of 5 eggsdecent I guess

Pros: Decent board for the cost. I needed something that was under 60, had IDE connections, and had a PCI-E slot.
The board was a bit different than the picture. It actually came with a heatskink, and fan on the chipset, intead of just a heatsink.

Cons: It was $xx.. They raised the price. Onboard network doesn't seem to like java videos for some reason. I had to put in my linksys NIC card to get java video's to play. Sound sometimes crackles, and Half Life 2 sound fades in and out.

Other Thoughts: It was worth the $xx I pad for it.

Just an FYI, when I got the card, I didn't have the right PSU hookup.. It requires 24 pin plug, I only have a 20 pin plug. Funny thing is, I took a shot in hooking up regardless, and it still works.
I don't know if it's going to mess anything up, that's why I'm now looking for a 24 pin PSU. I'm shocked that it's working, but it's making me a bit nervous.

3 out of 5 eggsgood board so far

Pros: Not bad for the money.
inexpensive.
many useful options
So far it works fine.

Cons: Manual is inadequate.
memory slots for 400 DDR according to the manual are either inadequate or confusing.
The onboard network port was frustrating under windows. Windows did not recognize it at all even with the supplied drivers. Fedora core 4 recgnized everything perfectly. The attachemnt kit seemed quetionable. I used large headed screws from a previous mother board. They seemed better than the ones supplied. There were not enough paper washers. The edge of the board where the IDE cables attach has no support under it.
the biggest disapointmets were the manual and the memory installation instructions. I'm still trying to figure out how I'm supposed to get best performance out of the Dual inline d400 memory I have and wether it makes any sence to buy more memory of the same kind.
Lesson to me: download the manual first before you buy. It does not take that long to do.

Other Thoughts: This is running an AMD 64 3200+
2X512MB
40GB hd
gEfORCE 6500 256-P2-N356-lx
400WATT ps
Pay a few extra bucks for a good manual.

3 out of 5 eggsIt works, but not great

Pros: The pros are that the mobo works

Cons: My AMD 64 3200|+ will only work at 200FSB!!! It is slower than the XP 3200 (400FSB model) that I had.

Other Thoughts: Overclocks the processing spead just fine, as well as RAM

4 out of 5 eggsGood Board, Slow Support

Pros: Stable board, works good, product information is adecuate, good explanation on how to configure new installation SATA hard drive.

Cons: Product support is slow, it took over two weeks to get a new cmos chip. Very limited calling hours for tech support.

Other Thoughts: Good priced and stable mobo, I'm running a AMD 3500 with 2gb mem and nvidia 6600 256MB Video Card.

1 out of 5 eggsMediocre Board, Short Lived

Pros: Average performance and features worked as expected.

Cons: Motherboard lasted just past 11 and 1/2 months and died from normal usage.

Other Thoughts: I did not get the RMA request in before I officially had the board a year and Chaintech would not repair or replace for free even though I had tech support email sent in before the 1 year deadline. This is the second dead board I have had the displeasure of owning from Chaintech. Their RMA policy and customer service leaves much to be desired.

5 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: This is a great motherboard for the money.

Cons: The ethernet kind of acts weird some times and the CPU fan shutting off thing is scary at first but if you go into the Bios you'll notice that is still runs nice and cool.

Other Thoughts: Other than the weird ethernet every thing about it is great.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Budget Board

Pros: everythig worked fine out of the box, built this computer for a brother of mine. Th reason why the cpu fans stops is cause in the BIOS it is set up that the fan will only turn on when the CPU gets to a certin temp.

Cons: None really for a basic user/gamer.
