4 out of 5 eggsDid I receive the right board?

Pros: Coming from an "Epox EP-9NDA3J motheboard that randomly locks up on inital power up" I just move all of my old components except for the video card to the new Jetway board. My Window Business Vista I'm using with the Epox board recognizes the new Jetway board and loaded all the drivers except for the sound which I have to load manually. The Vista sound driver is available at Jetway website. There was a minor problem with the "HD" part of the sound driver which did not affect the operation of the sound on my PC. This is one of the reasons for 4 rating, otherwise it would have been a 5! The board fired up the first time, configured the BIOS, saved and exit then rebooted all the way up to Vista login. I haven't have any lock ups yet so I'm somewhat a happy camper.

The board layout is excellent. If you only have two sticks of ram, the way the slot is paired is excellent. The board overclocks really well. I conservatively overclocked mine.

Cons: I really don't have any cons. I know the SLI is only 8X, I know it doesn't come with the SLI paddle card and no Firewire. I got what I paid for and it would have been better if Newegg shipped me what they advertised. Well, maybe I didn't get what I paid for. What do you guys think?

Other Thoughts: Derived from What Newegg is advertising "Model #:939GT4SLI-G-VC" which is the Jetway 939GT4SLI-G-VC Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce SLI ATX AMD Motherboard-Retail" as advertised. Well, what I received was "Model#: 939GT4L-G-VC" which is totally a different board.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good layout, kinda tight for big video cards though...easy to set up, decent BIOS options

Cons: This mobo is terribly built and tested...my first burned out after 30 seconds, so RMA'd it...then next one worked okay, but slow for half a year, then randomly burned out on me...the board is too hot, and I've got two 165's and 2 90's on it

Other Thoughts: At 70 bucks, you get what you pay for...I'm not buying JETWAY again, and anyway, I'm upgrading to Intel...

5 out of 5 eggsJetway - making a name for itself!

Pros: No Problems! Everything worked 1st try! All voltages read correctly. Motherboard layout is very nice (except for northbridge fan).

Cons: Northbridge fan is in a bad location - but no worries - it doesn't even run hot.

Other Thoughts: I got this motherboard to replace my abit motherboard that died in a storm. I didn't know of the company Jetway - but wow it's awesome! Bios automatically set everything to where it should be. This is on par if not greater than Asus. In fact Asus has been letting me down lately - I am now going to turn to Jetway for my future motherboard needs!

5 out of 5 eggsMoBoMavin

Pros: Have owned this particular nf4 based MoBo by: Jetway for about one month now and I can pretty much say this board is an overclocking "Banshee" I popped-in my old but trusty "Venice 3000" and I'm running air-cooled on this Jetway board at 2.5Ghz, that's pretty good for a MoBo company I have never even heard of before...This board has been rock-stable and I'm actually starting to like it more then my Asus and Gigabyte boards. This board is layed-out pretty nice with lot's of room around the ram slott's for efficient air pass the only design flaw I would even remark about is the fact, that the video-card, if you are useing a single card set-up as I am in pci-e 16x in center-slott, that card will almost be touching the nf4 cooler fan and it gives you about the thickness of a sheet of paper clearance, but it does clear the fan, so it's all good!!! As I mentioned above this is an awsome nf4 based board and at a great price! NO "1394" or dual "LAN" on this one, but it oc's great and is solid!

Cons: Not too many bell's and whistles on this board, but if you are into o.c.ing this board stands-up with the best of the other nf4 boards I have used and it's rock-stable as well. If I had to complain I would say the nf4 chipset cooler is right in the way of the tail of the V-card, but this isn't the first nf4 board I have seen with that prob, also the manual isn't the best on this product, but if you have built a couple other boards-up in the past you should be able to look at this board for the pin-out's and discover them pretty quick as this board is layed-out pretty roomy.. Also don't know if anyone els with this board has had this prob, but my start-up temps are showing a bit high for my proc, but I'm pretty sure it's a bios prob as my proc has always reported as around 29-32c on my other nf4 boards and on my new Jetway it's reporting as 40c at idle even when down at stock "Venice 3000" speeds which is about 1.8 or so.

Other Thoughts: This is an outstanding board and it's a solid performer... I would purchase another Jetway, with no hesitation at all! I am in hopes, that "Jetway" will look into a BIOS update on this board as I feel my slightly high reported temps are due to bios prob, but it's no biggy as this board has been just awsome in all areas of performance and stability... Thanx "Newegg" yet another great product at an awsome price! You guy's are truly the best in the bizz, for price and service no one els comes close :-)

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Excellent board, booted on first try, no problems whatsoever. Post gives you voltages, clocks and temps, and warnings. Overclocking is easy, and very customizable. Onboard sound is excellent quality, and the 6 sound ports make life easy since I just got surround sound. The heatsking on the Northbridge is excellent, and keeps everything working, even if the fan stops working.

Cons: When using SLI, my XFX 7600GT in the bottom PCIex16 slot, the card bent the casing on the NB fan, but it was an easy fix.

Other Thoughts: I expect to upgrade to AM2 soon, and am planning to go with Jetway again, due to low price to features ratio.

3 out of 5 eggsNo sound

Pros: Great board. Love the sli feature with the pcie16 slots. Smooth install. Works great with Vista, recognized both cores on my processor every boot (my reason for switching).

Cons: The on board sound doesn't work. Device drivers are installed and the device is "working" yet I get nothing. Not a problem as I have a pci sound card but could be a bummer to others.

If you have a big video card the end of the card will sit ontop of the bridge fan, and I mean sit on it.

Other Thoughts: Can't use Jetways website with Firefox, caused some weird rendering issues.

5 out of 5 eggsQuick and Great Mobo

Pros: This mobo is quick and easy to use. I tested it outside my case and everything lit up right away. NOTE: make sure you do have good mounting screws. At first, this board would not load up because my screw heads were too wide and was shorting the board (even though it was within the mounting circle). The POST is very informative and all of my previous settings stayed the same. The extra pins for case ports is nice as well.

Cons: Board has to be perfectly mounted to boot.

Other Thoughts: I'm not a big fan of the color scheme of the board, but for the price and other supplied utilities, it's a great board.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board

Pros: Been running:
Athlon 3000 989
1 gig crucial ballistix ram
300gb maxter sata
160gb wd sata
120gb wd ata
evga 7800gt
FPS 600 watt PSU

for over a year and a half now. Nothing bad has ever happend to me with this board. Runs everything fine without any hickups at all.

Cons: I don't think it's the board, but might be. I got the crucial ballistix 2x 512mb low latency dual channel kit so I could overclock this board, since I read on anandtech.com that it is an excellent overclocker. Well, I had the ram running at 250mhz on the stock multiplier settings of 3-3-3-8 1T but the ram was failing causing random reboots. I put in some generic ram everything was fine. RMA'd ram got new tried again since it was a new version of ram same thing is starting to happen. Dropped timings went to 2T still is happening. I don't know if it is the ram just not being able to handle it or if the board is causing it. Maybe try a different brand of ram for the board unless you don't plan on overclocking any.

Other Thoughts: This board is very worthwhile and as I said before, has been chugging away for over a year and a half. I never ever turn off my pc, and I am an avid overclocker, just not with the ram that I have. I just checked anandtech and they used 2 x 512MB OCZ PC3200 Platinum Rev. 2. 1 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Poor support. Never got it to work correctly. Not enough fan power hookups and poorly located.

Other Thoughts: I have been using ASUS boards forever but since this box was not going to have very demanding application requirements I thought I would save some money. Wrong decision for me. It seemed to be a fight all the way with a single SATA setup. I fussed with it a long time and never got it working right...my 30 days had elapsed so it went into the trash and I went back to a more expensive ASUS which of course fired right up with no problems.
