Wonderful board
- Pros: Great board, plenty of room for RAM upgrades, AGP slot for those of us not quite willing to shell out even more for a PCI-E. Audio is nice for onboard, and the Gb ethernet capability is a nice plus. was a snap to setup, just a nice all around board for a decent price. works fine with my Athlon 64 3700+
- Cons: I apparently got a faulty board, if I flashed the bios, the machine would no longer start, and after 3 weeks, the board became unstable, and I hade to jumper it every 24hrs to avoid lockups. It reported my DDR400 as being DDR333 under dual channel. (I never got around to trying them individualy)
Also, heat sensors where only off by abit... 15C O.o
I RMAed the board, should get it back soon, and Im hoping most of these problems will be gone.
good overclocker
- Pros: very good overclocker but have to update bios to verison 1.6 came with 1.4. had problems overclocking my amd 64 4000 clawhammer..tech support very good had problem flashing bios . e-mailed tech support and responded within one day.make sure you flash bios to recent to open up board for overclocking.
- Cons: wish northbridge chip had a fan instead of passive heatsink.
- Other Thoughts: first time brought this brand wish they had a sli board to.would recommend this brand have had msi, and abit boards.
Great This brand is good
- Pros: its fast, compared to the asus a8v deluxe i had, ok same hardware exept the motherboard the asus got 65,056 on aqua mark whit this i get 70,000-72,000 stock no overclocking this board is more stable as well
- Cons: the temp moniter isnt the best its off by atleast 10 degrees
- Other Thoughts: got it when i rma the asus this is a good alturitive to the a8v
