Good mobo if you're aiming small.
- Pros: Small. Cool. Silent. Uses very little power. Fast crypto (with OpenSSL anyway). Gigabit ethernet, SATA, TV in/out.
- Cons: It's a VIA processor, so not fast. If you want fast and (not quite as) low power, go for the Core 2. Can't really be upgraded, limited to 1GB of RAM, comes with no SATA cables.
- Other Thoughts: The initial BIOS settings are weird. Setting up the SATA controller in RAID mode by default confuses some OS installers, so you might want to change that in particular. The emergency shutdown temperature is 125C, and you might want to set that lower.
A little slow but silent
- Pros: I researched fanless mainboards for days before choosing this one. It is indeed a little slow, but that is completely unnoticeable in routine business tasks in Windows XP SP2. Gigabit ethernet and all sorts of video options are a plus. Drivers loaded without problems. The silence is eerie.
- Cons: No DVI built-in although you can get the daughterboard as I did. It works fine, but the cable comes out the top of the board and its a tight fit in my Morex 3588 case.

Works with Linux and MythTV.
- Pros: Cool features like padlock, TV out, and Mpeg hardware decoding. Fanless and compact. Low power consumption.
- Cons: The openchome Linux drivers are not quite stable for TV out, so prepare to do some hacking for a MythTV box. DVI requires a daughter card (I didn't get one).
Only one PCI slot, but what do you expect? :-)
- Other Thoughts: I like this board a lot. It's been working great for me so far. As soon as the openchrome drivers stabilize a bit it will be really awesome for non-hackers. The bios also has some cool power management features. All-in-all, it fits my HTPC needs perfectly.
