4 out of 5 eggsGreat Cheap Combo

Pros: Great for the price, almost the cheapest computer parts you can put together ATM. Fits perfectly in my ATX case with ATX power supply (of course with plenty of room to spare). Comes with the CPU fan, which is great too because that's one thing you normally have to add when building a PC.

Cons: AMI BIOS, not preloaded with defaults, not the greatest setup. Has many of the basic features most mobos have, but not everything, check the specs to make sure your getting what you want. Cheap chipsets all the way around. But for a below average user for light usage, it great!

Other Thoughts: This was for a pc built as cheaply as possible, and memory is cheap right now, so it was a good deal. Built for a below average PC user, so features were not a priority, price was, and the price was great, cheapest I put a whole PC together.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat file server

Pros: Great performance for the size and price of this machine. I threw in a gig stick of ram and an old HDD hooked up via USB to an external HDD and it became a great low power file server.

Cons: Um, none?

Other Thoughts: For the price you really cannot beat the performance. I was really surprised because of reading the rest of the reviews about poor performance. But i threw on Ubuntu with the gig of ram and it was really snappy and very responsive.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Little Board & CPU

Pros: very low power, uses very cheap and plentiful ram, ATA133. Ran for nearly 2 years non-stop as a Linux file server and will soon be retired to a life as a carpc.

Cons: Not very fast processing wise but its still serving its purpose admirably.

Other Thoughts: I installed with 512M ram, and dual 4 port sis sata cards in the cheapest case with the most drive bays.. a name brand 500w psu and 10 IDE & SATA Hard drives running a minimal debian stable and only ran ftp/http/nfs/smbfs. Fast enough to serve/receive files at 10MB/s over Ethernet, holds over 2TB of data with room to spare, could hold 5-10TB with newer density drives and was built for less than $200 (excluding drives)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for FreeNas box

Pros: Works excellent as a FreeNas box. Everything is recognized right off the bat.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Will fit into any mATX case even though this is a Flex-ATX board.

5 out of 5 eggsBang for the buck!

Pros: Mobo, processor and video for this price...Great for a budget pc. If can afford something better, go for it! If on a tight budget this is the one for you.

Cons: None for the price...

Other Thoughts: Some people complaint of slow processing speed and slow video, but this is not a home pc or gaming motherboard combo. It's for lightweight computing and wordprocessing.

3 out of 5 eggsWeak CPU performance

Pros: Cheap. Small. Quiet. Low power consumption.

Cons: I just ran a CPU benchmark and it came out with the lowest mark I've seen so far. It has a 760MHz CPU! Memory test runs like snail = slow front side bus.

Other Thoughts: Probably good for simple systems but don't use it for anything that requires heavy (or even moderate) CPU usage. Probably can't even play videos too well (I haven't tested it yet but I can't imagine that this slow CPU could keep up with real time video decoding)

5 out of 5 eggsPC Chips M789 with Samual 2

Pros: An excellent replacement board and cpu for older equipment and general purpose use, ie, simple word processing and internet use.
This board and cpu is a real bargain at $55.00.
With a Free after Rebate white box from Antec, a Five Dollar CDROM, and a Six Dollar monitor from Goodwill my only other cost was 20 dollars for used 512k RAM.
Eighty-six bucks for the whole thing. Software? Ubuntu Rules!

Cons: None to speak of - again, a fine product for the money.

Other Thoughts: Boards and cpu combos like this will keep machines running for years!

5 out of 5 eggsVery fine for general use, very fine

Pros: Fine mobo and cpu. What do ya want for small $$$$ . Easy install ,booted right up . Runs xp ok with 256k ram. I set this up for a business with xp, quicken , word perfect ,ect . Its far from a gamers setup but who didnt know that . Small $$$$ for a mobo cpu combo, you cant beat it . Ok vid and sound. . Up and running with xp sp 2 and 60 plus updates ,quicken ,word perfect and all the other software ,updates ect in three hours.Very easy bios and good install manual.

Cons: No cons for small $$$$ . What do ya expect for the $$$$. Great buy for the money.

Other Thoughts: I cant say one bad thing about this mobo cpu combo. Again what do you expect for a low $$$ mobo cpu combo. Its a great combo for general use. I cant see anyone having a hard time with this combo unless your using parts your not sure are in working condition or your snap togther skills are lacking. It was too easy an install . I wanted to do 5 more installs that day with that mobo combo .It was fun and trouble free. Some of you should have been building computers in the early 80s. That was building. Today its a few screws and modular plugs, childs play . I miss the smell of roslin solder , real schematics, test instruments, making the operating system and software work. Somewhat more of a challange and a real build. Yes im very old 30 years B.B.G.,( before Bill Gates ). I think that makes me around 48 yrs ol. What a bummer 48. Easy and trouble free install . Not a thing to whine about.
