Good for non-overclocker
- Pros: Stable, Cheap and it works well. can do a little overclocking. With its cheap price you can ignore some of the cons.
- Cons: I have to flash the BIOS in order to user my G.Skill 2GB memory. PCchips support is somewhat limited.
- Other Thoughts: When I first installed my GSkill 2GB DDR 2 800 memory the board didn't boot up but I've downloaded the bios from PCchips website, good thing about the bios is you can upgrade under windows but be sure to disable Anti-virus and other programs for safety reason. Using AMD X2 5200, XFX 8800GTS and 2 Gig Gskill memory.
Works great!
- Pros: cheap, shipped fast, socket am2- will support upgrades, takes ddr2 800 ram, worked right out of box and posted first try.
- Cons: pcchips has a bad name, idk how long it will last
- Other Thoughts: my system temp is running at 27 degrees C and cpu is at 39 - 41 degrees C. Pc chips mobo, AMD 64 X2 4000+, 2gb adata ddr2 800 ram, sapphire 512mb graphics card, WD 300gb hd.
Economic
- Pros: Very cheap, and came with 10 dollar MIR
Onboard video is awsome, use to have an agp 8x Radeon 9200 SE, this beats its performance decently. Has pcie if needed Counter-Strike:source with low settings and middle resolution: from 30-60 fps 4 IDE's possible...a life saver for some... DDR2 800 dual...
- Cons: Onboard video is VGA out :/ (who cares)
Two pci slots (who cares) lan only 10/100 Overclocking is available, but slightly annoying to access and troubleshoot with
- Other Thoughts: Cost effective, this plus AMD Athlon 64 X2 4000+ Brisbane 2.1GHz, GeIL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800, and PSU all off newegg = 210.00 $$ for a machine that can run half-life 2 ... dvds etc...
If cost is an issue and overclocking isnt "essential" to you get this...
