5 out of 5 eggsA+

Pros: Cheap!

Cons: None. Performance wasn't too bad for being a PCCHIPS board..

Other Thoughts: Don't wire the front USB wrong...

5 out of 5 eggsNice package, but

Pros: Good price, decent processor. Easy to install. Good for a computer user just needing the basics which is why I built the computer.

Cons: Heat sink and fan assembly for processor doesn't thrill me. Fan doesn't attach too securely to heat sink, but then the computer shouldn't be bumped around so not a big deal.

Other Thoughts: Excellent for what it is. It's a pretty fast setup with Kubuntu Edgy and 512 RAM.

5 out of 5 eggsSeems fine so far...

Pros: Install and setup went quite smoothly, running 2 HDs and 2 optical drives. It liked my PC2700 just fine(other user mentioned it didn't like his) - I have one pqi module and one Antec... Also, don't panic - the box says DDR400 on it, but this board is DDR333(the label by UPC confrims this). Drivers installed fine, a million restarts and several pauses during InstallShield, but no problems.

While the manual isn't perfect, it is more detailed than some others I've seen, and the labeling is pretty good, especially if you were a first timer.

Processor running very cool (~32C).

Cons: I am getting few mouse hangups(pauses), so it seems it isn't the quickest.

Other Thoughts: Ultimately replacing the fan or CPU will probably be hard, given the compatibility, or lack thereof(Socket 563). Still seems like an OK buy for a quick fix.

3 out of 5 eggsToo bad...

Pros: This is an XP-M with a Barton Core 512kb L2 Cache, has maximum TDP of 25W! Runs pretty cool at under 40C. It was meant for laptop compters. Unfortunatelly the Pros stop here.

Cons: Unusual socket uPGA562 which makes it harder to replace the heatsink and fan, no support for Cool'n'Quiet in the MoBo. Loud fan. Does not want to power down from the on/Off button, however from Windows/Linux is OK.

Other Thoughts: Too bad PCCHIPS decided to lock in all the Pros of this processor. It runs at 1466MHz/1.25V This could have been a really great low consumption computer if it wasn't for this. Other than that it did not take my DDR333 memory but that is memory's fault I would guess. When I got it the first time it did not boot, until I tried diffrent kinds of memory and it finaly liked DDR400. You also need a power source with the 4 pin addition. However if you are only interested in a low budget computer, by all means, go for it...

5 out of 5 eggsGreat price with all features.

Pros: Add memory, hard drive, optical drive and case, you can build the whole system under $xxx. I'm very satified with this new toy. Hang around internet and watch movie without any problem.

Cons: So far, so good.
