Foxconn's 6150 series motherboard provides an easy entry into the world of dual core computing. This Socket 939 board will support up to 4GB of DDR 400 memory in dual channel mode. Just because there is a built-in video controller doesn't mean you're stuck with it, the PCI-e x16 slot will let you easily upgrade your system for better performance.
Two PATA ports support up to 4 devices. Four SATA II ports support RAID levels 0, 1, 0+1 and 5 so your data is secure no matter what. You can also attach an external drive to one of the 4 USB 2.0 ports on the back panel or one of the up to 4 on the front. Two FireWire ports let you attach other mass storage devices or high speed peripherals. And the Gigabit Ethernet keeps you attached to your network at maximum speed.
Foxconn provides the foundation for a great new system! Pick one up and see!

The best uATX MB to date!
- Pros: This board is clearly the best in the microATX arena as it offers all of the latest and greatest features. I've used Foxconn MB's in the past and this one is stable as the others were. One of my favorite items is that they included 3 PCI slots in addition to the PCI-E slot. (Who uses PCIx1?) This means that I can install an Arctic Cooling NV video card cooler, which takes up an additional slot, but still leaves me with 2 PCI slots for TV and Audio. The other boards would only leave you with one slot due to the location of their PCIx1 slot. The board runs solid and has full easy to use overclocking features. It's the latest upgrade to my dream media PC. The on-board video/audio will serve you well if your not a serious gamer. (I am a serious gamer and audio/video editor however so I bought the cards for this.) There are a few bugs to work out (described below) but I feel that this is the best small form factor media board out there. And of course, Newegg is the best on-line store ever!
- Cons: 1) The CD that comes with the MB has the latest drivers. The Foxconn website does not have the latest updates and their latest BIOS did not flash correctly for me. Their technical support is great however and I popped out and mailed them the BIOS chip for them to troubleshoot and reprogram the chip.
2) The screen blanks out for a second when booting up and when entering the NVIDIA utilities. I plan to notify them of this and get the fix. (It's probably in the latest BIOS.)
3) Give the RAM a good push into their slots. It's a tight fit and it can give the appearence that it has gone in all the way and snapped in when it hasn't. Don't worry, the board will beep at you if you didn't do it correctly. =)
4) Give the onboard heatsinks a little push so they make good contact. Mine came a bit loose because of bumping around during shipping.

Perfect for 24/7 MediaCenter server
- Pros: 1. Three PCI Slots allow for 2 HDTV tuners and dual analog tuner.
2. Gig Ethernet 3. On board video has no problem displaying HDTV video with no stuttering. (however, I have this unit hidden in a closet not connected to a TV) 4. Four SATA II RAID ports. Connected first two to dual 250Gig WD in RAID 1 (mirror), second two to dual 250Gig WD in RAID 0 (striping).
- Cons: 1. Capacitors positioned near 1st and 3rd PCI slots won't allow tuner cards to be installed without literally sawing off parts of the card. Careful!!!
2. No Jumbo-Frame support on GigE NIC... but doesn't seem to be an issue. My XBOX 360's view live HDTV without missing a beat! 3. The Nividia RAID drivers are a major pain to install, especially if you don't want to use a floppy drive like me. And, you can't intall off USB CD/Floppy without a system crash. I slipstreamed the drivers into a new CD image and then it worked fine.
- Other Thoughts: This is the only board I've fonud (and I have had many failed build attempts prior to this one) that meets all of my requirements for a MediaCenter server. Low power/heat, dense tuner support, SATA II RAID, Gig Ethernet, in a small form factor. Already planning to build another one for my buddy. BTW - I had no problems flashing the BIOS to the latest version.

Win98 video
- Pros: I love this board, but does the on-board video have drivers for 98?
I can't use it if it wont run 98.
- Cons: Can't find out if video will work with 98 or 98 se.
Good board, S-Vid problems
- Pros: Solid board with respectable BIOS options for a "budget" choice. Decent on-board video/audio/RAID/GBLan. Good choice for a PVR or media box. Decent overclocking options, though I would not choose this board for a gaming/performance machine. Vista installed without a problem.
- Cons: VGA and S-Vid CANNOT work at the same time, NOT dual-monitor capable. Unfortunately, my board's S-Video was DOA and I need the S-Vid for this project.
- Other Thoughts: Foxconn has surprisingly fast tech support with a great interface. I'm sending the board to them to have the S-Vid taken care of.
NEWEGG Shipping
- Pros: Board Was DOA. Only put power to Fan . No Beeps ,no Post
- Cons: Board only put power to Fan . No Beeps ,no Post. If turned off by power switch ; fans re stated by self when switch turned on aqain.
- Other Thoughts: Not all normal packaging protection for board was in box. Must have been opened previously. Packaging for shipping only fair ; MB box slightly crushed in transit or was sent that way origionally.
