1 out of 5 eggsThis mobo is a code 88 nightmare

Pros: on board video/sound good price

Cons: Worked for a few months then MOBO failed to boot unless reset was pressed at least 2x. Then just froze w/code 88.

Other Thoughts: I know this review is old but in case someone is looking to buy used - DON'T DO IT-
I wouldn't take a new oine even if it was free!!
Worst mobo I've owned in 20 years.

Manufacturer Response:

I am sorry to hear you are having problems with the board. Please contact our 24/7 technical support (888)-881-3842 so we can assist you with diagnosing the problem.

5 out of 5 eggsUpgraded & smaller.

Pros: Excellent performance in a small package. Haven't had any failures or any problems in a year. Coupled with a core 2 do and 2gb sli ram its a fast little sucker. Micro-atx is the only thing I will be buying from now on. Will be upgrading the video card soon & possibly going to a quad core in the future, lots of room for upgrades.

Cons: Bios sometimes won't load or post after hitting Del durring boot. Usually works the 2nd time around.

Other Thoughts: After my old server tower pooped out I decided to build myself a new desktop, size was my #1 concern as I was sick of carrying around huge computers.

1 out of 5 eggsbeware

Pros: EVGA has great RMA and customer support.

Cons: 1st board died in a month with a corrupted BIOS, would not POST. 2nd board same thing after about a month. 3rd board arrived corrupted. 3 bad boards all with corrupted BIOS? There is a serious quality control problem at EVGA.

Other Thoughts: There is extensive threads at the EVGA forums about this. EVGA seems to be aware of the problem but I guess its easier to RMA the boards that fix the problem. This problem does not appear to affect their ATX boards from the threads I've read.

5 out of 5 eggsExellent EVGA 7150/630i

Pros: I have been running this board for over 9 months now. Overclocked E2180 to 3.0GHz (300 X 10 multiplier). Very stable and rock solid. I also own a 680i board. In terms of OC, this board is almost as flexible as the 680i. I initially left the voltages for CPU, FSB and chipset on auto. I had occasional lockups when I was running at 2.8GHz. I increased the CPU voltage to 1. 35v and upped the voltages for FSB and chipset slightly. Voltage adjustments fixed the problem and I can easily increase the FSB frequency to 1200MHz, giving me 3.0GHz for the CPU. That's 50% OC on a very reasonable CPU and MB.
When I plugged in a discrete video card, I also experienced video corruption (Does that sound familiar?). Flashing the BOIS from 1.4 to 1.6 and installing the latest video driver fixed that problem.

Cons: None if you are building a HTPC. For a poor man's gaming rig build, the following 2 items may be considered cons. However, I am not sure how big is the performance penalty:
1. Single channel for the memory
2. The PCI Express x 16 slot is not 2.0

Other Thoughts: Coupled with a cheap dual core CPU and a GeForce 9500 GT video card (which is also very reasonably priced), this board will give you a very capable gaming rig which can play all the latest game comfortably. When you have problems, you have to do research and analyze the issues. Technical support people are there to issue you a RMA number, which is also nice. Don't RMA your board too easily. If you don't work out your problems, the next board you get back may have exactly the same issues.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: Great on board graphics havent had any problems with this board since i first purchased this. Nice and small with a nice punch in speed. and great suport from evga.

Cons: would be great if it had an extra pci ecpress slot.also no dual monitor support with on board graphics. Also maybe more slots for ram to help speed on vista ultimate

Other Thoughts: but its still great for lan partys or a great little gaming rig.

3 out of 5 eggsWon't do full HD output!

Pros: This is a good board, I guess for the price. It's a all-in-one board. I haven’t had any problems with the BIOS, but it doesn’t like the Intel E8400. Sometimes at start up it will shut it’s self down. Irritating but haven’t had the problem since I put the new GPU in. If you want HD built in don’t get this one, build it part by part and not with an all-in-one board!

Cons: This board supports single channel DDR2 only and it only has two (2) RAM slots. Maybe I missed it in the specifications, oh well. Live and learn. This board will not do High Definition! With the on board graphics and an internal LG Blu-ray player it would only display the upper left of the screen, the right half and the lower have of the screen where just lines. I stuck in a BFG 9600 GT and shuzzzzzzam, a beautiful picture immerged. I don't know about the audio yet, haven't had a chance to hook it up to my suround sound.

Other Thoughts: Aspire X-Qpack w/420psu, 52-in-one card reader, bluetooth network with cell phone, WD 250 Gb 7200 3Gbs SATA hard drive, LG Super Multi DVD RRW, LG Super Multi Blu-ray, 1800 HD multi tunner TV card, Intel E8400, 4 GB RAM, Logitech S 510 wireless keyboard and mouse combo, Windows XP MCE, HP media center remote being used for a HTPC. Soon to come; a Antec twelve hundred case, WD 1TB hard drive. 1000 watt psu, new MOBO and a quad-core to stard with.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat mobo!

Pros: Everything is integrated. Onboard RAID is very nice to have, and it contains everything I need. Makes for a great media PC.

Cons: I wish it had 2 or 4 more SATA connectors.

Other Thoughts: You absolutely CAN do 1920x1280, 1080p output. You CANNOT do it with the drivers they ship with this board. You NEED to go out to NVIDIA's site and download the latest suite of software for this chipset...not only does it allow for 1080p, but it adds some RAID stability and other nice audio features.

Don't worry about this board. I have two of them, and they have both been flawless, as long as you use the latest NVIDIA drivers.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: Worked right out of the box with MythBuntu as a frontend for MythTv. Great Driver support

Cons: if the board was 1" longer it would fit better into most HTPC cases and give us Dual Channel support and an extra row on screws, the board bends with you try to connect devies to that side. not really all that big of a deal if you dont hot swap too much

Other Thoughts: Type: HTPC
OS: MythBuntu
Display: 50" Plasma (1080i)
CPU: e6800
Ram: 4GB XMS2 Ram
HD: 3x WD 500GB Sata drives: 1x Samsung 16x DVD Burner with lightscribe
PSU: 550 Antec
GPU: On Board(No need to upgrade)

1 out of 5 eggsAll kinds of problems

Pros: Onboard DVI and hdmi were nice touches. About the only nice thing I have to say about it

Cons: Bought this board from a local computer shop. It started out fine and just went bad from there. NIC would lose connection to the lan without warning, downloading files would result in some files being corrupt, even the raid controller had problems. I set up a raid 0 and everything seemed to be coming up fine on the clean install of OS until the initial reboot. The board locked up on POST!!!! Repeated attempts to clear the CMOS did not help. The sound card also would not send sound to my LCD tv. Think twice about buying this board
