1 out of 5 eggsUpdate to review

Pros: None

Cons: Major IRQ conflicts that cannot be solved in W7 EVGA just made a bad board and they know it!

Other Thoughts: I sold the board being unable to correct the IRQ issues and as far as there (EVGA) response why would they send me 2 boards?? This is just a lame attempt to discredit me because I filed a complaint against them with the Attorney Generals Office and won!!! There Video cards are the only thing they know how to make stay away from there Mobos!!!!

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

Very sorry to hear you are having issues with your board. I checked and I am not showing any complaints from the attorney general regarding this. We are definitely here to work with you on any issues you are having, please contact me directly so I can work with you on this: Matth@evga.com

1 out of 5 eggsEVGA Quality Control Does not exist

Pros: Has potential was a stable board until I did the 90 day upgrade.

Cons: Were do I start? I went with the 90 day upgrade to the P55 Classified 200 and the horrors began the classified I recived was junk after 2 month of trying to get my old board back they refused time and time again! I had to file a complaint with my attorney generals office to finaly get the old board back but they would not give me a new board the first one had thermal grease all over the back bent pins etc they then sent another board and the heatsinks were loose and could not be tightend, I gave them a new board less than 2 weeks old and they send me dammaged so called refurbished boards back! now they say I never sent them the old boards back and want to charge my CC for the 2 boards! a word of warning if you get a good board do not upgrade if you do and run into issues you will never get a new board back.

Other Thoughts: I will never buy EVGA again at least not there MOBO's there video cards have worked fine, I have 2 GTS 450's that run great it they die I will just buy new there B-stock is junk I purchced a b-stock Video tv tuner card from the website after calling to verifiey the needed cable and remote would be included and I was told I would get what was in the photo, the items were in the photo but I did not recive them the card was usless I was able to find the missing parts on E**y but they cost 5 times more than I paid for the card be careful dealing with this company buy Asus or XFX

Manufacturer Response:

Hello,

I looked into this for you and our system is showing that we sent you 2 boards with pre-paid shipping labels to return the original boards to us. Unfortunately UPS does not show either label was used. If you went ahead and paid to ship them back yourself please let me know the tracking numbers so I can look into this further for you. My email is Matth@evga.com, I look forward to your email and working with you to resolve this issue.

1 out of 5 eggsUpdate on Earlier Review

Pros: See earlier review

Cons: Started boot hanging, double booting, BSOD, Black Screen with NVIDIA video drivers above 260.99. Doesn't like 3D and PhysX NVIDIA drivers either. Has been flashed to the latest BIOS. Contacted EVGA customer support twice, felt like I was ignored. No permanent fix available as of yet!

Other Thoughts: Hey EVGA, can I return this and my EVGA GTX470 to you guys and get something that works? I didn't overclock this board or the video card. You would think that EVGA products would like each other.

3 out of 5 eggsBuggy with 875K CPU

Pros: Stable board, good features, decent layout

Cons: Not possible to actually set the multipler of a 875K CPU without enabling speedstep, turbo, and locking C1 through C4 turbo locks to 0. This is with the latest BIOS (A72) and appears to be a known issue with EVGA socket 1156 motherboards.

5 out of 5 eggsNice MOBO

Pros: Comes with all the bells and whistels you'd expect a motherboard of this quality to have. Overclockable, supports a multitude of Processor and memory combinations. Lots of logically placed fan connections.

Cons: Not really a con, but I failed to notice that it didn't have EIDE connectors, so I got to order a SATA DVD Burner from Newegg.

Other Thoughts: After reading what some of the other reviewers mentioned about double booting and other problems they had, I went ahead and downloaded the new BIOS and drivers to a CD. The first thing I did was flash the BIOS and install the latest drivers, as any good system builder should do. No problems whatsoever. The only minor installation glitch was that I had to turn my Arctic Cool Processor Fan on the board 90 deg clockwise due to a layout configuration conflict, but it works and it keeps everything nice and cool.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome mobo

Pros: full ATX, lots of PCI-E due to the NF200 chip, LOVE the onboard post display, works well for troubleshooting my DOA ram, Hyper 212+ fits over the nf200 heatsink, lots of pretty lights, lots of SATA. no BSODs yet so thats a good thing

Cons: uhhhhh. i cant speak for fan control cause i use a controller, not USB 3.0? cant use dummy OC with my 8GB ram, i think its because its mismatched

Other Thoughts: my system

CM elite 430 Black
EVGA P55 F.T.W. 200 Motherboard (cause its innapropriate without the dots?)
Intel Core i3 540 CPU
EVGA GTS 450 Graphics card
8GB DDR3 ram (half corsair XMS3, half OCZ gold)
OCZ Fatal1ty 750W PSU
250GB Seagate HDD
640GB WD caviar black HDD
Lite-On DVD RW

2 out of 5 eggsStay away if you want performance!

Pros: Hmmm...... uhhhh...... It looks nice and is easy to setup. I did like the glowing E on the board when it was shut down and the layout was well thoughtout.

Cons: Where should I start..... As for performance, all I have to say is blah..... I'm not sure if the chipset drivers are garbage, but once this thing is running SLI, forget it. Your performance is going down the tubes. I've RMA the board and been in contact with Tec support numerous times and they tried to blame the vid cards ( GTX 470SC in SLI and so forth..... nope, I mean Black ops single player ran poorly with no AA on!!!! I've seen one of my cards on an ASUS board own the game!!

Other Thoughts: Don't buy this, I got rid of it and switched to my old faithful board ( ASUS ) and so far I'm VERY happy with it. I'm running Crysis ( as a tester ) @ 1920 x 1200 with AA on 4X and everything on Hgh and it runs flawlessly with my new board ( ASUS ) with my SLI running @ 16x/16X now... YEAH!!! The real test will be Black Ops ( when its done downloading ) Sorry Evga, you have my business for your video cards which still rock, but you MB need a little help

5 out of 5 eggsRe-Oldtimer

Pros: Awesome board. Have been Rock Stable at 4.10 Ghz Core i7 860 for 6 months without a Hiccup.

Cons: From what Oldtimer has said, inability to run 4GB Memory Modules.

Other Thoughts: Glad I read this review. With the prices of 4GB DDR3 modules literally halved in the last year, they are very tempting.I was just about to purchase the Corsair 8GB kit. But at this point ,the only thing to do would be to upgrade to high speed DDR3 2000 MHZ 2x2 kit ,for more performance. With my Huge CPU cooler ,it will have to be Low -Profile sticks like Corsair XMS.
