Tech Level: high - Ownership: less than 1 day

Pros: To those who couldn't get it to work, when you plug an internal Sata to eSata cable into your mother board you must then go into your BIOs and enable eSata on that port, otherwise the it may not recognize drives you attach to it when the computer is running.

Cons: should do what you want it to, if you know how to use it.

Other Thoughts: People should have called their motherboard tech support

Great and Cheap

Pros: Just excellent! The for sure hot-plug feature allows me to power on and off my external eSata drives any time I want. Totally great for backup ussage. I use it with an internal 4-port sata PCI card and so far the combo works flawlessly. I do not understand why the USB externals are still selling. The eSATAs are just FAR superior and faster and USBs.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: My machine has 5 internal Sata drives and 3 eSata externals. So far, all work very well. Note that the cost of my PCI Sata card plus this unit is than $30.
