Sapphire boards have made a name for themselves in blistering graphics, but past performance is on the line whenever a new product premiers. The Sapphire Radeon X1900XT video card is clocked to run at 621 MHz, giving you more than enough speed to take the field running. Using the ATI chipset to which Sapphire has long been dedicated, this high-end value priced chip gives you some serious bang for your buck without breaking the bank.
The 48 pixel shaders and 16 pixel pipelines process 3D animation into a brilliant display of visual effects. The revolutionary VPU has ultra-threaded instruction decoding units that boost game play frame rates, and smoothen rendering of visual effects, without any loss in performance. The onboard 512 MB of 256-bit, 8-channel 1440 MHz GDDR3 memory standard and native PCI Express x16 bus interface deliver excessive bandwidth required for bandwidth intensive applications, such as animation and games software.

The Internal Ring Bus controller produces over 1 billion colors and remarkable clarity when displaying High Definition resolution output in widescreen formats. The dual display connectors support displaying outputs of resolutions of up to 2560 x 1600 at a refresh rate of 60 Hz from twin-DVI out connector ports.

I like mine
- Pros: I knew I needed a top of the line card for my new computer and this one delivers. Highest settings in any game exept in Oblivion cant do 6X AA at 1600x1200, lol like somebody would need that. Anyway this card is great and has a great price tag. Newegg PWNS!
- Cons: uses alot of power (need a good psu Antec Truepower II 480 Watt is what I use), Most of these cards have a bad lap job (*Not the kind hookers give you) and the thermal paste is applied badly amazingly if you sand the bottom of the heatsink with 400, 1000, and then 2000 Grit sandpaper and put some artic silver on it you should see 10~20 Celcius temp. drops.
- Other Thoughts: Most of these are the reject XTX chips so they arnt very good for overclocking, Mine was $xxx which was a good price a month and a half ago.
2d clocks are 499, and 600
- Pros: to the reviewer below me, ur card was probably ok, its just a thing of self satiffaction, if my card was bent i probably would have rma'd it for a new one to, but however this card does run hot, so the overheating thing is normal with this card, with the stock cooler it will run at about 50-60 on idle and under load i saw mine got for 85-90, its perfectly normal thought for these cards, i have mine watercooled in crossfire mode and the temps are just 45 idle and 55 under load, u probably iwll see the next one overheat too, but it will not actually be overheating.
- Cons: none what so ever
- Other Thoughts: i suggest waiting till the r600 comes out if u want to purchase one right now though u cant go wrong with this purchase, i would probably wont upgrade mine for a while since i got two of these, and bought them 6 months ago.

Great Performer - Unacceptable Heat/Noise
- Pros: * Fast
* 512 MB GDDR3 * Pretty
- Cons: * HOT - stock cooling is ~ 60C idle and > 80C MAX
These are Unacceptable heat levels - you will need a Zalman vf-900 or similar. * Noisy Fan under load
- Other Thoughts: Fan Spins up quite loud at startup for a few seconds until the controller tells it to go to low speed - annoying...
Core 2 6400; 2GB Corsair DDR800; Gigabyte GA-965P-S3; ATI X1900 XT 512; Antec P180B; Enermax Noisetaker 420W PS
Saphire 1900xt 512mb faaantastic
- Pros: Does all you'd think or ask of it,it'll hold you over til dx10 comes out and they go thru the noobiness and come in with a great solution for dx10.
- Cons: Heard of the noise,no problem.Heard of the temps,no problem
- Other Thoughts: OK,this card rulz, period. Not a fanboy, just love this card.It does it all at high settings.Want no problems with all the eyecandy?Get this card.Does it run hot?Yes a lil,tho thats normal for this card, you can add a after maket cooler if youd like.Does it need a mega psu?OK,heres the deal,Im using a 420 watt enermax, solid company,PSU and no problems whatsoever, however if I were to go to crossfire Id get a 550 psu.Havnt overclocked it yet,and probly wont. Now fiiinally I can get Oblivion........
schweeet card
- Pros: This card is amazing for its price. I put a zalaman cooler on it before I even tested the stock cooler, I get 38c idle temp and mid 50's under load. Runs DoD:s with no lag and makes it look like the movies from steam its an amazing card for anyone who doesn't want to blow 500 on the top ones.
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: I bought that Y cable 2 12volts to the pci-e connector just to be safe, not sure if its required but other cards that aren't as good as this one come with the cable so I would get it. Newegg got it here a day early so thx, Didn't have to wait another day to start building my computer. And uh lol never realized how LONG pci-e cards were, make sure you have room for this card before you buy it cuz it runs the whole length of the motherboard. Also weather you buy ATI or Nvidia get a SLI or Crossfire motherboard so when these cards drop in price you can get another one for extremley cheap.
