5 out of 5 eggsWow... Just... Wow

Pros: -Very cheap card (Comparable to the 7900 GT 256MB)
-512MB (not much better than the 256MB edition, but it's all about braggin' rights)
-Stock speeds do just fine... however at 625/1300 (@1.4V Core) in FEAR (no visual lag), Oblivion (everything max with 6xAA and HDR, 25-40 FPS), Doom 3 (85-90 FPS in timedemo1, Ultra with 6xAA), Quake 4 (30-40 FPS, Ultra with 6xAA)
-HDR with 6xAA is just awesome (read other thoughts)
-Card will DEFINATELY hold you over until DX10

Cons: Had to return the first one because it was unstable. However, Newegg owns at RMA's... so I got my card back fast and new as can be.

Other Thoughts: HDR with AA is only unlocked with the "Chuck patch"... google it. Use raBit to save your original BIOS and modify it to 1.4V Core and crank up the speeds to 624 Core and 660 Memory. If you want higher than those you will have to change your memory timings... but trust me, 624/660 does PERFECT in any game you can throw at it. Flash with WinFlash from the TechPowerUp website.

4 out of 5 eggspretty nice card, ended up unstable though

Pros: This is a pretty powerful card. The card defaults CS:S to everything on high, with AA at 4x and AF at 8x. The vidfeo stress test got about 151 fps. When AA and AF turned to 6x and 16x, respectively, NO loss in fps!

Cons: Like an earlier reviewer said, these used to be x1800xt's. You can see Ruby behind the new gto2 sticker. He is probably right that they are defective xt's, mine was unstable and i had to RMA it.

Other Thoughts: Newegg customer service is beyond excellent. As soon as i let them know my card was giving me problems, they gave me an RMA number and waved the restocking fee (i had to return it due to the fact that i left the country for school and could not receive a replacement outside of the US). Newegg even let me keep the gift that came with the card. EXCELLENT customer service!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for FEAR

Pros: Very good card for the money. Can play the resource consuming game FEAR!! On good settings.

Cons: Just loud fan on start up then quites down but it's not a problem.

Other Thoughts: Does anyone know if this card is crossfire compatible? It doesn't say so on newegg but on the box it says crossfire ready?

5 out of 5 eggsBetter than Xbox 360

Pros: Had a 360 fan come see my new toy and he left my house mad-the graphics are better than 360 when it comes to Oblivion and Quake 4. I love this thing!!

Cons: just 1- the fan is loud during startup...thats about it

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: cheap downclocked x1800XT with potential.

Cons: both of the cards i ordered overclocked poorly on ram. barely got 600. after XT flash with higher latencies i can barely do 700 (1400mhz) but it requires 2.2v.

Other Thoughts: these are defective x1800XT's. if you plan on getting good overclocks with these, pay the extra bucks and get a real x1800XT.

5 out of 5 eggsGraphic Blitz

Pros: Image quality is out standing. High quality AF, Adaptive AA, HDR+AA, are all great features to have. This card is extreamly weird in a way though. It has the same core and memory speeds of a x1800gto, but with the full 16 pipes instead of 12, and has 512mb of memory instead of 256mb.The card can also be flashed to XT PE. Which I have pulled off.
I have been playing FEAR, Prey, and oblivion with pure ease, with lots of eye candy on as well.

Cons: One con for me. loud fan. But it's only loud if you screw with the fan controlls. I'm getting a Accelero X2 from Arctic cooling, so I'm not bugged by it.

Other Thoughts: I'm comming from a Geforce2. I just about craped my pants when I completed my new system.

Anyways... this is a very good hold off card till R600 arrives. Which I can't wait for already lol. If you like eye candy, and smooth gameplay, this card will tackel most games at 1600x1200, while playing everything maxed out at 1280x1060. VERY GOOD CARD!!!
I had bought two 7900gt's before this card, but both of them craped out on me, and I never got to play a game with them. So I gave ati a try, and I'm not turning back.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Video Card for the Money!!!

Pros: Can you say 512mb XT for $xxx! This card comes stock at 500/500 speeds and is very undervolted on the core. If you want and XT, simply use atitool, bump the core voltage to 1.40 and you will be able to hit close to 700 on the core. Mines running stable at 692/656 and scoring 11,000 in 3dmark05 with an E6600 processsor.

Cons: The memory timings are tighter on this card than the XT, meaning that you WILL NOT be able to simply overclock the memory to the 750/800 range without loosening the timings. I've tried loosening them by flashing numerous times but each attempt has failed. It's best to just be safe, keep stock mem voltages and timings and crank it up to 660, which is a 160mhz increase

Other Thoughts: This is a great card that if paired with a decent processor/ram will play every game out there on max settings. However, if you do not plan on doing the easy overclock, DO NOT BUY IT. Get the stock XT for the same price with only 256 ram (the higher speeds make much more difference than the ram)

5 out of 5 eggsBest value ever!!!!!!!

Pros: Was able to convert it into a X1800 XT PE

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Good thing ATI doesn't know this is available.
