5 out of 5 eggsBest card for Price

Pros: This is the perfect card to buy for gaming if you are on a budget. This replaces a built by ati radeon x1300pro 256mb ddr2 which was clearly not made for gaming. This cost $XX less too. Every game can be set to Max settings and actually still be playable! 40+fps Very fast card. Get this card while you still can.

Cons: This card is purely for gaming so the video playback features are absent. Also doesn utilize SM 3.0 and HDR, but since i'm a budget gamer i will wait for the x1900xtx to drop down in a couple of years and maybe get that. :)

Other Thoughts: It really does sound like a hairdryer when you set the fan to %100.

4 out of 5 eggshaven't bought

Pros: buying this ... video card

Cons: none yet

Other Thoughts: if you want to overclock a ati gpu i suggest either atitools or omega drivers. if you want to change your drivers go with omega if you are fine with your drivers use atitools. not to hard. google is useful sometimes

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent price/performace ratio.

Pros: This card rips right through any game you throw at it. On max settings - this is no joke (I still get about 288 fps on high settings).

Very quiet and effective fan. Using ATITool to do dynamic fan speed changes is very nice. I have it set to 100% at 60 degrees, and it proportionally gets lower for lower temps. Under full load never goes above 65 (MAX 70), and idles at 40 degrees with no air conditioning on. (All with stock cooling and no overclocking.)

Cons: None. 'Nuff Said.

Other Thoughts: The fan is pretty quiet, and my pc is right next to my head (when at 100% - otherwise it's silent)... Not sure what the "blow-dryer" comments were supposed to mean...

5 out of 5 eggsThis is a good price to performance deal!!!!

Pros: This Brute will give out the horse power where it's needed. and have some to spare...with the right system config!clocked it to 567Mhz core and 1202= 601mhz mem, with stock cooling.used ati try tool to run the fan speed at 50%.be shure to check the overdrive in the catalyst control center if you are planning to use a over clocking tool do not unlock the overdrive...and if you do unlock the overdrive then make shure you can itergrate it into the tweak tool. if you try to raise the clock speeds to match then it doubles the clock speed of the tool....CAREFULL!play's all games with very good results A+++++++

Cons: no shader model 3.0 but powers through anyway!and the fan can be quite noisey..but i wear a head set so no matter.

Other Thoughts: this card was tested with....aopen i945Ga-PHS PQI Dual channel DDR2533 (PC2 4200)just a plane old seagate IDE 40GB hard drive.550w PSU,sony DVD RW and a Intel pentium 4 630+ 3.0GHz CPU 800MHz FSB.

5 out of 5 eggs600/620 on stock fan

Pros: It's fast... Faster than 1800GTO and 7600GT... Silent when not gaming... @ 5% fan using ATI Tool... 16pipe 256bit memory bus..

Cons: No HDR makes no difference in real world situations... Can be loud when gaming... Base of the heatsink should be bigger to effectively cool this monster...

Other Thoughts: What can I say... You can play any game you want 1280x1024 High quality or higher on modern FPS...

5 out of 5 eggsGood Stuff

Pros: Nice card. Effective Fan. Handles everything I throw at it. An excellent card for the money!

Cons: The fan stays at 5% unless you change it with ATI tools. It's a simple process, and it's not that big of a deal. The fan sounds like a jet (funny at LAN's) when you max it out, but 5% keeps is keeping it cool so far.

Other Thoughts: Took me a little bit of fidgiting to get it into the slot correctly ><. It's big!
