still works great
- Pros: 6 months and it still works great. I was able to play FEAR and BF2142 at decent settings. Worked great in Vista RC1. Allows for multiple monitors. I can even hook up a TV to it.
- Cons: ATI's drivers still have some problems even after updates. Does not support Shader model 3. 128-bit RAM.
- Other Thoughts: Abit NF7-S, Corsair XMS TwinX 1GB, 80GB Western Digital HDD, this card, Athlon XP 2500+, Sound Blaster Audigy SE, BenQ 16x DL DVD burner with Lighscribe.
I have to set my resolution to a lower setting such as 800x600 or 640x480 when playing games like FEAR, but that is mostly due to my slower cpu.
Great card
- Pros: Great budget card. This versus whatever was on this old Gateway 300s motherboard. *gags* Runs WoW at max and Doom 3 demo at high detail with a little studdering. Quiet *See con* and cool-ish. Get it if you are in the marked for a budget upgrade and have an old AGP motherboard. Gave mine another year or so
- Cons: If the fan dies, you wont be able to tell.
- Other Thoughts: Intel Celeron 2.8GHZ, 768mb RAM (256+512), Radeon 9600XT. Great for a budget gamer.
very satisfied
- Pros: Card works great, and is still running strong after well over a year of use and abuse! Overclocked extremely well. Would highly recommend for a budget build.
- Cons: None...
