5 out of 5 eggs5 years

Pros: I bought this card on 11/16/2006

This cards fan lasted 4 years. Then without a fan it lasted with case fans for almost another year (After I removed the fan and plastic chassis, the bare heat sink with a blower near it).

Could run WoW. 2.x with 50-60 fps on medium high settings.

I am currently still using it and only just bought a new card yesterday to replace it.

Cons: Overclocking sucks, but I didn't buy this card to overclock it. So that point is moot.

Didn't last me another year.

Svideo port was hard to use while DVI was plugged in. Had to unplug the DVI and plug the Svideo in, then plug the DVI back in. Glad I wasn't trying to run dual monitors.

I used this card to display to a TV in another room. Which this card handled with style. After I figured out that min/max video and on one screen doing IM'ing or any other type of popup in browser surfing caused resizing of the video's.

Other Thoughts: For it's price at the time and comparable cards, it was very affordable for the performance.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: many

Cons: none yet :)

Other Thoughts: I ordered the card and got it fast - great service as always from newegg. I've got this card in an Asus A7V333+RAID motherboard with an AGP 4x slot. I can play F.E.A.R. now! I reccomend using the ATI drivers and not the omega drivers. I and a friend of mine have both gotten higher graphics benchmarks using the official ATI drivers with this card than the Omegas. I upgraded from an ATI 8500DV AIW. Money well spent. The fan on the card isn't terribly loud IMO either - I don't notice it over the sound of the 80mm front and rear fans.

3 out of 5 eggsAverage

Pros: Best value/$ for AGP. Runs 1680x1050 fine over DVI. If you are lucky you may be able to unlock extra pipes and run as X850 XT PE. Overclocks well 580/580 on my card with H2O cooling.

Cons: Performance a bit lackluster for high resolution displays. My chip was laser cut on both the die and the substrate. Substrate cut can be fixed with conductive pen but die cut is on the bottom of the chip and cannot be fixed. Use ATItool to check before flashing a XT PE BIOS. DIE_FUSES 0xFFFF7FF - Laser cut since 3rd hex is not F. SUBSTRATE_FUSES was 0xFFFFFF9E but conductive pen fixed it to 0xFFFFFF9F.

Other Thoughts: Bought this to improve NWN2 game play at 1680x1050 but did not help much upgrading from NV7600GS. I guess I have to wait for the x1950Pro AGP before I can improve this situation.

5 out of 5 eggsGood card fo the cash.

Pros: It fits in perfectly where my 9800 pro used to be, it's not oversized at all. Not as power hungry as the nvidia equivalents. Runs perfectly on a stock 355 watt PSU. Install was painless. Huge step up from a 128mb 9800 pro.Runs half life 2 and bf2142 great. I have a 3.2 HT and 2 gig ddr.

Cons: My card was laser cut, no extra pipes for me. :-(

Other Thoughts: On install of the card, I had an "unknown device" bug that's pretty common with Catalyst. Uninstalled all the drivers, reinstalled the newest Catalyst and drivers, fixed that issue easily.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic AGP Card

Pros: Performance on games like Battlefield 2 and Age of Empires 3 is very good. I am running BF2 at 1280 x 1024 with eye-candy turned almost all the way up and sustaining rates around 45 FPS.

Cons: When I installed this on my nforce board it totally hosed many of my drivers. I had to reinstall the network card driver as well as almost every other USB driver. It seemed to recover just fine when I was done.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesomeness

Pros: Great card, upgraded from a radeon 9200 and it runs oblivion, nwn2 and all the source games smoothly at medium/high settings. Was cake to install. Very fast processing on neweggs part.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The shipping took awhile, ordered it a week and two days ago, payed for the 3 day shipping. It shipped on the same day I ordered and took over a week. Not neweggs fault though weather here prevented it some. So if anyones bad its UPS. But now that I have it im happy :p

5 out of 5 eggsawesome

Pros: awesome card, could play BF2 on high, but my bad processor is holding me back. CSS is awesome, HL2 is awesome. Its just awesome, have to say its tye best APG card for the price.

Cons: none! well besides the fact that it covers 2 of my clamps to my RAM, so if i need to change RAM i need to remove card, no biggy, just anoying.

Other Thoughts: newegg rawks!

5 out of 5 eggsCheap, Fast - Perfect Last AGP Solution

Pros: Inexpensive, good performance in today's games. Great last upgrade for those with a still decent AGP system (like mine).

Cons: Needed an Arctic Cooling fan just to be quiet and cool (should have had a decent fan from the factory). That's O.K., still a great buy.

Other Thoughts: I easily unlocked the other four pipelines with a BIOS flash. Now it registers as an X850 XT and runs Oblivion on high settings at 1280x1024 very well. Great buy for one last upgrade to my old system. Thanks for making it available Newegg!
