Techie-Elitist Approved
- Pros: Excellentent card, easy install, a strong splitter provided and the best drivers (5.4 without control center)
- Cons: The weird looking chick on the front, they shoulda stuck something l337er on it.
- Other Thoughts: FPS ratings:
Scored 4500 with this beast in 3dmark05. I avaeraged 25fps in every test, running at 1024x768 with anistropic at 2x and other at bilinear.
100fps maxed out in source, 60fps running ultra in quake4, 100 maxed in doom 3, running hl2 and lost cost on high with little lag.
UPS Shipping blows, they took forever and didnt deliver it before the weekend, but no. Good ol UPS, they waited till monday the day school started to give me my baby. Go with fedex, its worth the extra 3 bucks.
Same as Part # 100136L from what I can tell
- Pros: I have had this in my system over a month (amd64 3000+ 754 clocked to 2.31) The V-card over clocks Very Very well, but the stock clocking software is not the best. other than that the stock software is great.
- Cons: Lack of Heat Sinks for the Ram. Get an up graded V card heat sink/fan if your going to really push it. I cut up an old P2 heat sink and filed off the ruff edges to make small ram heat sinks and man I could push it real hard. That is not suggested to the average user but you can get an upgrade fan/heat sink for a low cost.
- Other Thoughts: For an AGP sub-200 buck card you can't beat it. Clock well even with stock cooling. With a little attention and upgrade to the Ram cooling you can do alot with this card. Well worth it if your look for Great Grafix on a mid-range budget. (See my other posts for more detailed info. Part # 100136L. It's the same card from what I understand) To put is simply -- I place an order through NewEgg for a new 3200+ 939 chip and board plus some Major Corsair XMS Ram in order to real tweak out my system due to this G-card.
DAYYYYUUUUMMM
