4 out of 5 eggsVery good card for the price

Pros: The best card of the market for its price.

Cons: Fan VERY noisy. GPU clock is 392MHz and not 400MHz.

Other Thoughts: RAM clock is 351MHz. I recommend at least a 350W power supply, the GPU sometimes fail with my 300W.

5 out of 5 eggsDon't listen to the reviews.

Pros: This card is cheap, first off it has 12 piplines. Which sets it apart from many videocards. Second off it is a 128mb card, which means's it will be more than sufficient with alot of games. But if you plan on taking her up to above 1400x1200 resolution and above it will degrade. This card has a 32gb/s bandwidth, to put things into perspective go here.

The newest card can pull just about 49gb/s with costs 500$ more. This card is great and the price is great, don't read the reviews.

Cons: Limited overclockability I beleive it comes at around 390mhz core and 345 mem, it won't over clock much.

Other Thoughts: Don't install the Trixx software

Goto the ATI website download the latest catalyst driver. Then download ATI tools, override the fan setting and max it to 100% it comes default at like 30% thats why everyone complains about it overheating and vpu lockup. Use ATI tools, I play WoW for hours, and DOOM 3 no lockup yet.

2 out of 5 eggsGreat but Flawed

Pros: This card works great as long as you are either:
1. Using the VGA connector.
2. Using windows.

I get nice frames on BF2 and on CoV. I don't know how I enjoyed games before this card.

This card is feature rich and doesn't break the bank. A great recommendation for anyone who fall under one of the catagories above.

Cons: A huge flaw in this card makes me reconsider this purchase.

When using the cards DVI to output, you are unable to view anything until Windows is loaded. More specifically the drivers for this card. You will not be able to install Windows, edit the bios, etc if you are using a DVI monitor. You will have to find an non-DVI monitor to do those things.

This makes it difficult for me to dual boot the system with a linux partition.

Other Thoughts: For the price listed at the time of review, it cannot be beat. However, I wish I would have shelled out more money for a better card. Either a higher end ATI, that only has DVI ports (although that may not remedy the problem) or a nVidia card.

This would definitely beat the 6600 or the 6600GT, which are similarly priced.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Buy for the moment!

Pros: Beautiful picture quality and smooth Action with HIGH settings on BF2 and similar games.

Cons: Some noobies don't realize they need to install Microsoft's .NET Framework for the Catalyst Control Panel to work.

Other Thoughts: I tried the other big competitor's cards and they seem to have a dizzying effect on me with their picture quality in FPS games. This card rocks for the money!

4 out of 5 eggsGood value

Pros: Seems to be a good value for the money, but I have only owned the card for around a week.

Cons: I wanted to point out a couple of cons to this card that is not clear on the product's specs:

1. This card is not the FireBlade Edition.

2. The X800 GTO 128mb card has slower memory than the X800 GTO 256mb card.

Other Thoughts: This card is not the FireBlade Edition. Also according to the manufacture's site, the 128mb card has only 350mhz memory. See manufacturer's web site.
