5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Easy to overclock, mine runs at 421/1114 instead of stock 350/1000 runs FEAR and Oblivion on full graphics (Pentium D 830, 2 Gigs DDRS) Good Copper Heatsink and fan

Cons: Tape on heatsink is horrible. Be Prepared to unscrew it and wipe off the cruddy thermal tape. Reapply a small amount of thermal paste and screw it back together. The heatsink works great and will keep the card cool as long as you fix the thermal compound.

Other Thoughts: Check out overclock.net for overclocking FAQs

4 out of 5 eggsGood Card

Pros: It's a pretty good card and can run all modern games that I have thrown at it. It can run CSS at medium-high and BF2 at medium(probably medium-high if i had more RAM)It blows away both KOTORs.

Cons: Price. You can get a 7600GT for less. It gets pretty loud at some points.

Other Thoughts: I am running this on a Dell XPS 400 P4 3.2 ghz, 512MB of ram.

1 out of 5 eggsSelf-destructs

Pros: It's a good card while it lasts.

Cons: One heatsink was applied with double-sided tape that when it gets warm loosens and allows the heatsink to disconnect from the chips. This equals a fried card, which is what I now have.

Other Thoughts: Buyer beware! If you already have this card, check the heatsinks and the fans regularly to make sure they're still attached/running!

4 out of 5 eggsGood card for the money

Pros: This card is really powerful considering what you spend on it--I only have one installed and I can run Half-Life 2 with the graphics cranked to the maximum. Newer games like F.E.A.R. and Oblivion are more demanding and you can't crank some of the settings, but since this is an SLI card you can buy a second one down the road and keep on cranking.

Cons: Heat. The thermal paste on these cards is really lousy, and both of the heatsinks fell off within the first two weeks I had it. Also, the shell/fan/heatsink apparatus around the GPU collects a lot of dust. After 6 months I started experiencing really bad artifacting in my games, but I simply removed the card and blew the dust out and everything was back to normal.

Other Thoughts: This card is definitely a "buy" for anybody looking to build a gaming PC and save some money. Be sure to buy some thermal paste to reattach the heatsinks.

5 out of 5 eggsMostly Solid

Pros: This is my second card, now running the two in SLI. Excellent card for the money. The 7 series has rendered these things totally obsolete but they definitly have enough horsepower to run anything I throw at them. I've run Quake 4, Doom 3, FEAR, HL2, CS Source, UT2K4, and Condemned with mid level settings and they run at a nice, crisp frame-rate. These cards are excellent if you're building an affordable, middle of the road gaming system.

Cons: This is the second in an SLI system and since it never runs under full load it doesn't get as hot as the primary card. The first one did get good and hot...so much so that the RAM heatsinks actually did fall off. They were secured with some kind of thermal conductive tape. They do run a little hot.

Other Thoughts: The good stuff isn't limited to the card. ASUS packages it with some nice software including their "Smart Doctor". This program allows you to manually Overclock the GPU from within windows as well as monitor temperature and control fan speed. It also comes with PowerDVD software to allow you to enjoy your DVD's on your computer. On top of this they even throw in a free game. It's Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising. It isn't bad but it won't push your card to the limit. Like I said already: if you're building a mid-level, affordable gaming rig then get yourself a pair of these puppies. With my current single core processor and these two cards in SLI I managed to eek out a 3DMark06 score of 4001.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: For the money this is by far the best video card you can buy. I'v had it for over a year now and it still runs flawless. I'm not sure what the person said about how he could hear his vid card fans over his other ones, I don't even have extra fans in me case and i can'y here my 6800gt ever. I strongly recomend this card to anyone looking for the 6 series cards.

Cons: Not a single one.

3 out of 5 eggsFan is WAY TOO LOUD!!!

Pros: Runs most of my games flawlessly: COD2, WC3, UT2004 and SC BW( yes i'm og!!), only running one right now, but i wonder how it will run if its in sli...hmmm? the blue leds complement my case fans, never had a problem with the ramsinks falling off, b/c i never installed it with them on, I jst took them off and bought some ramsinks elsewhere and i can feel they are doing their job.

Cons: THE FAN IS TOOOOOO LOUD!!!!!!, i can hear them over my 2 120mm fans/2 90mm fanss and the PSU fan. I was hoping for a silent or very close to silent comp, but this card just ruined it (gonna replace it with a eVga 7900 GT KO) Ghost recon is choppy even for the lowest settings, and Fear is jumpy.

Other Thoughts: Excellent card, bought i was hoping for a silent vid card, but this will have to do till i get the 7900gt KO (maybe two..).
I like the silent but deadly comp. The card definetly looks sexy, now only if they could fix that fan problem...

card for sale!!! lol

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This video-card has an extremely high 3D benchmark (can't remember the score at the moment). It ate 3Dbench03 alive. The average fps was 90+. There really is no need to over-clock this bad boy, especially if you can SLI it. This is a top-notch card for the price. The GTX will out-perform the GT, but I recomend either one.

Cons: None at the moment.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty satisfied with this card

Pros: Overall I have been very satified with this card over the past month. Good packaging. I like the blue LED in the fan (I'm vain). Card has been rock-solid so far. Was able to OC the GPU 25% and RAM 10% with perfect stability. Would buy again.

Cons: The stock fan/heatsinks, though a pretty neon blue, are 'decent'. The GPU cooling I feel is very good, but not as much for the GDDR3 RAM chips. However even with the stock cooling I was able to OC the GPU more than I have been able to do with other 6800GTs from diff manufacturers.

Other Thoughts: I really like the price vs performance ratio of the 6800GTs even this late in their life cycle. It's a great upgrade path to grab one of these and then later attain a cheaper second one (used, refurbed, from a friend who upgraded, etc) and SLI them giving performance comparable, and even superior to single high-end newer cards. For the money, this is a great bet.
