5 out of 5 eggsDoes the Job

Pros: Good price and good capabilities

Cons: No for the price

Other Thoughts: This is not a high level gaming card but plays the few games (Doom 3, Halo, Sims2, Far Cry) that I have just fine. My system also is not a gaming rig so no need for a monster card. Very happy with it.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Budget Card

Pros: Highly overclockable. Runs very stable @ 400/600 OC in my system. Idles at 34C, 40's while gaming. Doom 3 screams at 1024x768 on high, 4x AA, triple buffer. It'll get you through Quake 4 on high @ 800x600, with triple buffer and no slowdowns. Runs Painkiller nicely all settings on high @ 1024x768. Supports shaders 3.0.

Cons: None considering the class and pricerange.

Other Thoughts: For reference I'm running a Gigabyte 8IPE1000-G mobo, Northwood P4 2.80C dual core 800FSB, and 512 PC2100 [soon to be 1024 PC3200].

4 out of 5 eggsNot bad at all

Pros: Good for price. Plays games fine if you don't need AA and AF.

Cons: Cooler could be a bit better. Noticed that after three hours of CS it would start to lag. Cooler was so hot I couldn't touch it. Not compatible with ZalmanVF700-Alcu without modification.

Other Thoughts: Bought to keep me going while I RMA my 6800GT. Was having overheating problems so I bought a Zalman cooler. One capacitor blocks installation. I desoldered it and resoldered it on the back of the card. Installed Zalman and no problems ever since.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat

Pros: this is a wonderful card for the price. i am the type of person who uses things until they cannot be used anymore. i upgraded from mx/400, if u dont know what that means thats a geforce2.

Cons: cooling fan and heatsink could be a little bigger. but what do you expect for the price.

Other Thoughts: i bought mines refurbished for about xx$. i regret not spending the extra $xx to get 256 mb. my next up grade is to upgrade my motherboard to asus which has sli. i will keep my pentium4 for now but hopefully i will get dual core soon. i want two nvidia 7900gs in sli. that will be excellent,

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: This card runs Oblivion on medium settings very smoothly, I haven't tried bumping it up since I'm happy with the way it looks in medium, haven't OCed. It has run all my other games on high no problems. Great value.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: ASUS K8N Mobo, AMD 3500+, 1 gb G.Skill DDR 400, ASUS N6600 128mb AGP, 200gb Seagate 7200 rpm HDD, LiteOn 16x DVD-RW, 19" Rosewell WXGA+ Monitor.

5 out of 5 eggsGood for the price

Pros: Very good for the price. Can handle Quake 4, Doom 3, Olivion at high settings. Can be overclocked.

Cons: Asus drivers are outdated. Use nVidia's latest.

Other Thoughts: Performance on a tight budget and great visual quality. Not bad at all for the price.

5 out of 5 eggsHappy customer

Pros: Performs very well, easy to OC. Quake 4 is gorgeous, and my Oblivion settings were upped to medium. Quiet too. For the price, this card cannot be beat.Next best card for a bit more $ is the 256MB version, so do yourself a favor, and don't stop short of this one.

Cons: Asus drivers are strange. Didn't really work for me, so I just grabbed some generic ForceWares and Riva Tuner to OC.

Other Thoughts: Overall very happy with this purchase. Really good bang for the tiny buck. I have it OCed to 400/671 in an AMD 2400+, 1GB RAM, 420W system with these benchmark results:
Aquamark -- 36500ish
3DMark 03 -- 6052
3DMark 05 -- 2572

4 out of 5 eggssolid card

Pros: Runs BF'42, HL2, Quake4, Doom3 and Rome Total War pretty darn well. better than my ATI9500. price is on point and it looks great phisicaly.

also good for dual displays and multiple desktops.

Cons: drivers... the ones it shipps with are of corse out of date and the ASUS website has a confusing set of junk to DL at really low DL speeds. without the ASUS "enhanced Nvidia" drivers, which is part of that set of crud to DL from the website the overclocking utillity doesn't work.

Other Thoughts: every review i read is from people who "rate their understanding of this product as high" or "somewhat high" come'on compared to Joe-six-pack, sure but you're writhing a review of a component on newegg. consider that population.
