5 out of 5 eggsWhat a difference

Pros: I A-B compared VGA-DVI as my brother has identical computer, Acer 19" lcd monitor. DVI has whiter whites, beter contrast and more vivid colors.

Cons: None for editing.

Other Thoughts: Great card. I use the vga for projection! Hoping this card will work well with vista areo!

5 out of 5 eggsEXCELLENT VIDEO CARD

Pros: WORKS GREAT AT A GREAT PRICE--SINCE I'M ALREADY RUNNING AN ASUS MOBO, THERE ARE NO COMPATIBITY ISSUES WHATSOEVER--HAD A DIFFERENT 128 BEFORE THIS, BUT THE ASUS HAS NOT 1 PROBLEM.
I USE IT FOR PHOTO EDOTING--NOT GAMING, SO i CAN'T SAY WHAT IT WOULD ACT LIKE WITH HIGH INTESITY GAMES.ONCE AGAIN, THE EGG SHIPPED LIKE LIGHTNING

Cons: CAN'T THINK OF ANY!!!!

5 out of 5 eggsWorks fine, Athlon 1.5, ASUS MOBO

Pros: Works fine. My s-video performs without a problem. We do video editing and it handles those tasks fine.

I played GTA3 for a while and could run it at high resolution fairly well. When I kicked up all the settings (I'm not a gamer as you can tell) it couldn't keep up. So this probably isn't for the hard-core gamer.

Cons: The ASUS software isn't as good as the ATI drivers from their website.

Other Thoughts: Very solid dual-monitor card. I'd consider buying another (in fact, I am which is why I'm back here)

5 out of 5 eggsDon't buy if you've got a emachine mboard

Pros: It works fine. Except not on my computer. See below!

Cons: Hi. I recently purchased this card. It works. The problem is, whenever I shut down my computer, and boot it back up again, the card stops working. I have to pull it out, let the computer boot up (which it does--I have an oboard video card) and then I shut it down again. After this, it works. Then it won't boot up again after I shut it down!
I've tried everything. I don't know if it's the card or the motherboard. I'm a technician, and still I'm unsure what's happening. But online I found this to be a common problem with my motherboard (it's a L7VMM MOTHERBOARD/AMD K7 ECS).

Other Thoughts: It's a good card. When my motherboard allows it, it works fantastic. Too bad I've got to get a new mobo.

Other Thoughts: I don't game so ultra speed doesn't matter.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat HTPC Card - Good value

Pros: Fanless...no noise...doesnt get any better than that. Plenty of ram for HTPC (MCE 2005 has 64MB Minimum), more than enough GPU power, DVI DVD playback is incredible. ATI control center definite plus. Under and overscan options are somewhat adjustable.

Cons: Dont bother with the s-video hookup. Card would puke all over itself with the TV Tuner active. Blue screen followed by a reboot half the time when live TV was started. Had the latest drivers and the tuner card was ATI chipset (Theatre 550 Pro).

Other Thoughts: I got this card through research and my personal requirements. Fanless, meets HTPC memory requirements, AGP 4x support, DirectX 9 support (MCE2005 needs it), cost, manageability. I would say it meets all of these with one exception. S-video out on an standard 4:3 TV was disappointing due to the 50% of the time the system was met with a fatal error rate.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for breathing new life...

Pros: I did a lot of looking to breathe new life into my son's Dell Dimension 4550, WITHOUT upgrading my power supply. My AGP slot is 4x, and this card worked beautifully.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: My son just wanted to be able to play Civilization IV, and this card gets the most from a slightly older machine with a 250 watt power supply. Make sure you check power requirements for your card!!
