Don't buy this
- Pros: Cheap
Decent FPS on low end games
- Cons: Horrible FPS on high end games
My current drivers/CMOS won't let me give more than 8MB of system RAM to my VRAM and I got a GB of system RAM
- Other Thoughts: Get this card if you are going to play games like CS 1.6 or Warcraft III or something of that nature. If you wanna play something like BF2142, you will only get about 20 FPS on all low settings
Strange DVI-D
- Pros: Cheap!
- Cons: DVI connector does not work with VGA adapters I have, so can't connect 2 monitors to it. Can't find a converter that works.
- Other Thoughts: This is not clear but the DVI does not seem to be 'standard' as the VGA converters I have will not fuction with it. I suppose that means its not compatable with 2 VGA monitors.
Surprizing
- Pros: No heat sink fan, cheap, DVI output
- Cons: Heat sink gets hot
- Other Thoughts: Wanted a cheap card with DVI output for web surfing, emailing, word processing, and chatting. For that, this card works great. I did find the CPU heat sink temperature to be almost too hot to touch, so I hung an 80 mm fan in front of it. Not it's as cool as you could ask for. Plus my MB heat sink is cooled too.
