2 out of 5 eggsWorked fine for 1/2 year, then broke

Pros: well, worked great when I first got and installed it.
easy to install, worked fine, drivers updated fine.

Cons: just stopped working out of the blue after about 6 months of use.
all of a sudden comp wouldnt boot b/c the card didnt work.
through in another pci-e card and all worked well.
asus, poor quality with graphics.
got a new geforce and so far no problems what so ever with overclocking.

Other Thoughts: asus may be great for most things,
graphics isnt their strong point.

2 out of 5 eggsGood for 6 months

Pros: Relatively quiet and stable. Pretty good value for a card at this price. I was able to run Battlefield 2 and other decent games with medium to high settings.

Cons: The thing died on me after 6~7 months. I was burning a DVD and suddenly the monitor went all black. Read reviews that other people have the same problem. The QC of Asus probably not very good. If the thing only last 6 months, would you buy it?

Other Thoughts: I'll try to send the card to Asus and see if they can do anything about it.

3 out of 5 eggsmalfunctioned

Pros: It worked really well when I first bought it. It ran smoothly and I was very happy.

Cons: 3 months into it, the card broke down. Computer kept crashing due to the video card. Asus has very slow/hard to reach tech support.

Other Thoughts: Alright video card when it was working and cheap, but I wouldnt get Asus products in the future.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great card. Can run BF2 with all setting at the highest res @ 1280x1024 with no lag in game(if you have 2 Gb of Ram of course).

Cons: ATI Hot Poller has an issue with this card. I'm not sure if it has to do with the NVIDA chip set on my MB or not. Turning off this feature resolved the lock problems.

Other Thoughts: Overall good card.

2 out of 5 eggsMemory Runs Slow

Pros: Good price, good overclock.

Cons: Memory is listed at 350/700. Actually runs 250/500.

Other Thoughts: Not sure if other x700 cards run the same memory spped listed but this card seems to have the wrong information.

3 out of 5 eggscrapped on me

Pros: worked great when i first put it into my build about 1/2 year ago.
very nice graphics, handled everything i wanted to do very smoothly.
gaming ran great.

Cons: crapped on me a few days ago about after 1/2 year.
reboot and "beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep"

4 out of 5 eggsNice, but go for reference utilities

Pros: It performs pretty well, and makes me want to upgrade my own video card (aging 5900XT).

Cons: The fan is not mounted securely (just don't handle it by the HSF), and the software could be better (or left out).

Other Thoughts: I was getting errors on login with the Asus stuff, and it would not find the video card itself. This caused the ATI's setup to fail with a cryptic error.

I uninstalled the Asus software, installed ATI's own, and it runs great. Score one for reference drivers.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Performs well, quite operation, overclocks well. 440 core, 660 memory.

Cons: Memory clocked at 500 mhz or 250 ddr, Memory clock is suppose to be 700 mhz or 350 ddr. Asus utility locks up system.
